Marlee blushed at her phone profusely. He had a tiny crack in his scratchy morning voice. God damn.
"Marlee?"
"Oh uhhh. Sorry?"
"I was getting mad at you for calling me Willy."
"Oh, well, sounds like a you problem."
"Jerk."
"Idiot."
"I am not an idiot Marlee."
For some reason she liked it when he said her name.
"Oh hush."
"Make me."
"How am I gonna do that, stupid?"
"I-....good point."
"Exactly."
"What are you doing?"
"Laying in bed, talking to you."
"Sounds boring."
"That's why I called you, dummy."

"What are YOU doing?"
"I have a meeting in a half hour so I'm getting ready."
"A meeting? What are you, 30?"

"You okay?"

Marlee smiled at the banter. She liked talking to this boy. She had a feeling he liked talking to her too.
"I gotta go now. That okay?"
"Yeah I guess. Talk to you later?"
"Of course. Bye, Marlee."
"By Willy."
Marlee has ended the call.
