it was new years eve and salem pansy and macie were all getting ready together for the new years slytherin party, she was helping pansy do her makeup and hair then finally started doing her own makeup, once she was done she went and changed and curled her hair.

once salem got to the party she saw mattheo, theo, draco, blaise, and enzo. she walked up to them "hi guys!" she says smiling, "hi sal, hows your eye doing by the way?" theo says, "it's doing better then yesterday thats for sure" she says nodding slightly and he smiles and hugs her, then she walks over to mattheo and hugs him and kisses him on the cheek, "Hi." she says softly smiling at him "hey love," he says smiling back "do you want something to drink? im gonna go get a drink" she says and he shakes his head no "no, i stopped drinking recently" he says and she smiles and nods "thats good." she kisses him then walks away. and goes and gets a drink then dances with pansy for a bit. after her 2nd drink she decided that was enough and threw away her drink. she went over and talked with macie for a bit and daphne came up and tapped her shoulder, she turned around and when she saw daphne she sighed and rolled her eyes "what do you want?" she says annoyed, "listen i just wanna talk, please" daphne replies. salem laughs and shakes her head no "maybe i dont wanna talk to YOU daphne, ever thought about that? you tried to ruin my friendships, my relationship, so no. we dont get to talk." she shouts. "i know- salem i know and im sorry okay? please please just talk to me" daphne says and salem finally had enough, she punches daphne then walks away. her fist bloody and sore. mattheo walks over to her and holds her by her waist turning her around "why did you punch daphne love? she's not worth it." mattheo says and salem sighs "she deserved it, and she wouldn't leave me alone so i just punched her to shut her up" she says and mattheo chuckles "that's my girl." he says and kisses her, she smiles and kisses him back, after making out, dancing, and hanging out with the group it was finally close to midnight so they all decided it was time to go outside and wait for the fireworks to start. salem grabbed mattheo's hand and ran with him outside, giggling she finally stopped at the edge panting a little and catching her breath. then the fireworks started and she smiled looking up at them and mattheo just admired her, while she wasn't looking he grabbed a small black box and got down on one knee and she turned and gasped, so did everyone else in the group as they watched, "salem berkshire, ur my everything, I've loved you since we first met, and now all i think about is being with you for the rest of my life, will you marry me sal?" he said and she started crying, she nodded "yes! yes I'll marry you mattheo!!" salem said and he smiled and got up, when he did salem immediately hugged him and he chuckled and pulled away and slipped the ring on her finger, "I told promised you I'd change your promise ring into an engagement ring, and i kept that promise" he said smiling and she giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him "i love you mattheo riddle." she says, "i love you salem riddle" he says back and she laughs a little smiling at the last name,
macie and pansy run over to salem and hug her "congrats!!" macie says smiling "salem ur getting married girl!!" pansy says gasping. salem smiles "thank you macie, and i know!! this all feels so so crazy, this reallyis the best new years. pansy grabs salem's hand softly and looks at the ring and macie gasps, "oh my god salem that's gorgeous." she says and salem smiles "isn't it?" salem replies, enzo and theo walk over and theo hugs her and lifts her up, salem laughs and hugs him back, he puts her back down and faces her "congrats sal." he says smiling at her and she smiles back, "thank you theo." she says and then turns to enzo and smiles softly at him and he smiles back. she hugs him tightly and he hugs her back "im happy for you salem, mattheo and you have always been meant to be. but if he ever messes up you tell me okay?" enzo says and they both start laughing "okay i will" salem says while laughing.
