The sun in slowly setting further down the horizon, giving the area an orange-redish glow before darkness overtakes.
Joel was currently in the driver's seat, driving the car down a main road away from Lincon while Matt sat in the passenger seat.
Ellie was supposed to be asleep in the back as she took up the entire back seat, "Oh, man!" she whined as she sat up, surprising both Matt and Joel, who had assumed she was asleep.
"Hey, what happened to sleeping?" Joel asked as he looked at Ellie through the rear-view mirror.
Ellie scoffed as she waved a comic at the two, "I know it doesn't look like it, but this here isn't a bad read," then she points to a certain part of the end page, "Only problem is right here. To be continued! Ugh, I hate cliffhangers,"
"Where did you get that?" Matt asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"Uhh ... Back at Bill's ..." Ellie said nervously, "I mean, all this stuff was just lying around!"
Matt laughed slightly, "Oh yeah! That's why you were messing around with your bag!" he said but Joel simply sighed.
"What else did you get?" Joel asked, hoping it wasn't anything important.
"Well ..." Ellie smiled as she pulled her bag onto her lap and started looking through it, "This should make you two nostalgic!"
Ellie hands a cassette tape to Matt, who looks at it, "I can't speak for Joel," he said as he inserted the tape, "But this is before my time,"
I'll never get out of this world alive by Hank Williams began to play, filling the truck with music to break the monotony of the travel.
"This is before my time as well," Joel chuckled, they never actually shared how old they are, it doesn't matter though, "This is a winner though,"
"It's better than nothing ..." Ellie commented with an eyeroll, but then remembered what else she stole as she pulled out a magazine, "I'm sure your friend will be missing this tonight ..."
"Um-hum," Joel nodded not paying attention to what Ellie had taken.
"Light on the reading but has some interesting pictures," Ellie commented as the magazine unfolded to show some larger photos of naked men.
Matt and Joel then realise what she's looking at, "That's not for kids," Matt told as Ellie looked at another page.
"How the hell would he even walk around with that?" Ellie commented amused before adding, "And why are these pages all stuck together?"
"Um ..." Joel looked to Matt, not sure how to deal with the situation unfolding.
"Gimme that," Matt told as he took the magazine and took a look himself, "I can see why Bill looks at this stuff, not bad," he laughed as he rolled down the window and threw it out of the car.
Joel and Ellie were puzzled at what Matt had just said, "Eh, not for me," Ellie added with a chuckle.
Matt turned around and gave Ellie a knowing nod, although Ellie wasn't sure if Matt was being serious or just joking with her.
"So ..." Ellie started, deciding to change the subject, "Where are we going?"
Joel sighed, did he explain it, he can't remember, "We're going to find Tommy, my brother," he explained, "He's out in Wyoming,"
"Wyoming?" Ellie questioned, "We'll be driving for ages ...!"
"Yes, but Tommy knows where the fireflies would be hold up," Joel explained, "If we find him, we can then find the fireflies,"
