DAENA DIDN'T KNOW LAENA THAT WELL, the only time she could recall the name Laena was on Rhaenyra's wedding night when they danced together. otherwise, she had no thought of women who lay in the coffin in front of her. Daena would go as far as to say she forgot her face. not in a rude way.

Daena knew that barley anyone here knew her, besides her parents and brother. everyone came here for the wine which was what shocked Daena a lot considering she thought Laena was a kind woman

Looking over at Laena's daughter she could price together what Laena's face looked like. Buetiful. Daena though as she looked at the twins. she did not think Daemon had any part in the genes beside the Targaryen's silver hair and purple eyes. Laena was the face

One comment in Vaemond's speech made  Daena look towards the Velaryon

His gaze was fixed on the two strong boys as he spoke his rumors about the partage in High Valyrian. "Salt courses through Velaryon blood. Ours runs thick. Ours runs true. And ours must never thin."

The remark was directed at the boys like an accusation more than a rumor Daena didn't know if the boys were old enough to be aware that,

A giggle from Prince Daemon cut through Vaemond's speech stopping the uncle of the Laena from going any further. It was a surprise to Daena that he of all people, would be laughing. He was her husband, the father of Laena's beautiful daughters

The young princess could feel the glares of Alicent and Rhaenyra towards each other's family. Daean couldn't care less about what is going on between them now. They were fine a couple of minutes ago

she knew Aegon was drunk as he kept falling onto Daena's shoulder and recovering again. Daena had a lot of strength to fight back the voice telling her to let the boy drop and make a fool out of himself but she didn't

she agreed the boys were not laenor's she knew Rhaenyra wasn't careful enough but she didn't think children were to blame for parents lust for each other. she would almost say she felt bad for them. almost. She hated those boys

Even if they did nothing wrong, she just hates them, but she doesn't know why she is full of so much hatred

The coffin of Laena's body plunged into the ocean after Vaemond's speech had finished. Driftmark was a beautiful place, Daena would love to live here. if she could

Aegon exhaled a long sigh of boredom, which caused Daena to roll her eyes and nudge him. "Hush brother," she told him as she put a hand on Aemond's shoulder. Being the second-tallest person in the family had its perks

she and the rest of the people at the funeral moved to the wake for the funeral which was high on a balcony a driftmark overlooking the ocean, The princess knew this was the perfect opportunity to throw glares and insults at your opponents, she noticed that's what her mother and her half sister did

she also noticed baela and rhaena alone. she moved her feet to walk forward even if she did not want to "My ladies" she called out to them. Baela look up immediately but Rhaena just stared at the ground which caused Baela to nudge Rhaena to look up

"I don't know what to say, I wish I had the right words to comfort you," she told them that made Rhaena put her head down which caused the princess to take a deep breath "She was so nice to me; she used to dance with the children at the name day celebration. she danced with me on the princess's wedding" Daena said with aa smile on her face

she barely could remember that moment but she was grateful she could at least remember some of it. she liked Laena even if they never talked a lot, she admired her and she hoped to admire her daughter "I don't know how you feel, but I am here to help in any way I can" she said to them as they both looked at her with no emotion on her face

Daena took this as a time to say she was not helping and was about to leave when she felt a pair of arms around her. She looked to see Baela holding onto her for dear life. The hug was strong like she was holding onto Daena over a cliff

Baela let a tear fall into Daena's green and black dress.she didn't mind, she knew what they were going through. she moved her hand so she could run her fingers through the silver hair of the Targaryen Twin.

Daena could feel the stares of people around her. she cant remember the last time she had a hug. After the wedding incident, people didn't come near her like they were afraid of her.

Baela released the princess and smiled up at her before sitting down next to Rhaena again. she walked away from the two girls with a content smile on her face which was hidden from everyone else

Rhaenyra looked over at Alicent and her family. How much they have changed since the first time Alicent went into labor. she remembered everyone was at peace.  she didn't like how her half-siblings hated her.

Helaena sat in the shade with a bug in hand over the fire pit as well as holding a shell with a pearl inside before putting the spider in the shell. she began to say words as Aegon and aemond looked over

"We have nothing in common," Aegon said to his little brother as they watched Helaena play with the spider "She's our sister"

"You marry her, then," Aeon said with a sass of tone in his voice as he took a sip of wine  "I would perform my duty if Mother had only betrothed us" Aemond said as he looked at helaena in the shade "She's an idiot"

"She's your future queen"

"Mother had a reason to not betroth you to our unique sister," Aegon said as he looked at Daena who aimlessly walked around the balcony

"Hold your tongue, Helaena's your future Queen, Daena is a princess," Aemond said "I still don't get why mother betrothed me and Helaena and not Daena," he said as he rolled his eyes

"she is the elder, she would have been heir, not me" he said as he yawned at the funeral which caused aemond to scoff

"We are closer in age," he said as he flicked his hair back as the waves crashing below them could be heard from miles away "Daena is different, Helaena listens. Daena shuts you out. the realm would fall is she was Queen" Aemond said as Aegon chuckled

"She called you a twat once," he said to drink to realize what he was saying "Which is why she is my favorite sister," he said as he put down his cup "We do have one thing in common. We both fancy creatures with very long legs," he said as he stared at the maid in front of them

Aemond scoffed and walked away to find anything else than to listen to Aegon's voice
