6. Let's Talk

I woke up to the sound of my siblings yelling at each other, my mom would yell up the stairs "NADIA!, CARSON!, BE QUIET YOUR SISTER IS SLEEPING!". I smiled and rolled over to look at my clock is reads "6:11", I looked up at the ceiling and smiled I replayed Lance's and my moment from last night. Then I fell back asleep I was awoken by my mother standing in my door softly saying, "Adria sweetheart, you need to get up and get ready to go to Grama's."

I got up and went to grab my clothes I got my grey ACDC crop top, and my black Adidas sweatpants. I also put on my long forest green hoodie with a sunset picture on it. I made my way to the bathroom, the door was locked I knocked on the door and said ,"hey I need to get in there to get ready". The door opened, and it was dad. I apologized and proceeded with getting my morning routine done.

While my family was in dad's SUV I was getting into my car. Mom hadn't gotten into it yet, she walked over to my window I rolled it down. "Are you planning to go straight to Parkside or are you going somewhere else? If you're not I thought it would be smart to have us all ride together" she stated, I looked at her with a blank look and replied, "I'm going to go get some things first then head over there." I saw frustration in her face, but she controlled it well, she smiled "ok , text us when you're on your way there." she said, she turned and walked to the SUV.

I backed out the driveway and headed to Bayview, as I drove there I got a message from Lance it read, "good mornin have a great day". I ignored it and focused on driving to Bayview, he texted me again. "Are you at home? Are you awake...I don't see any of your cars outside. Where are you going?" he kept spamming me for a while then started calling me I silenced my phone. I picked up the phone after he called me for the fifth time.

"What!" I yelled, "did you see any of my texts!" he asked "yes I saw them I'm driving right now" I replied. "Where are you going?" he said, I couldn't tell him that I was going to Bayview so instead I told him "I'm going to Grama Gia's house." "Oh, ok well have fun" he said with a non-trusting tone, I hung up the phone and proceeded driving.

After twenty minutes or so I arrived in Bayview I still have ten minuets until I get to my destination. As I was driving I got a text from an unknown number "how far away are you I need to do this fast." I read the text but did not answer as I was driving the person could see that I read it. After a few minuets I arrived at the place, it was an old abandoned looking house with a grey siding that was recently put on and fogged up windows.

I got out of the car and hesitated walking up the sidewalk ,I kept my eyes on the house and scanned the house. I reached the door, my heart raced as I reached my hand out and knock on the door. I waited at the door after I knocked on it, the door opened and an average twenty-year-old stood in the door. He had dark long hair with a heavier body build, he was wearing a dark green T-shirt and basketball shorts.

We looked at each other and he said, "finally it took you forever", I nodded and walked into the house. It smelled like weed with hazy air. He shut the door behind me, I turned to face him, and he asked, "do you have it?" I reached into my bag and pulled out a stack of papers and extended my hand to give to him.

He reached for them, and I quickly pulled them away, he gave me an "oh really" look and said, "I wouldn't do that if I were you sweetheart" I wasn't phased by his threat and looked at him "delete the video and I'll give these to you." I said I pointed at the chair in front of his computer systems, as a gesture to sit down and get to work he rolled his eyes and did as I said. He typed away and found the video that he was blackmailing me with of me and another guy from a party doing things. I watched him delete it "is that the only one you have?" I asked he looked at me and nodded I handed him his papers and left.
