Chapter 2: Home Alone

Hilda sat down at the table with Baba.

Hilda: "Oh. I should do some shopping today. Twig? Can you watch Baba for me?"

Twig nodded his head.

Hilda: "Good boy. I'll be back."

And Hilda walked out the door, leaving Twig, Baba, and Alfur home alone.

Baba: "Baba."

A little bit later, everything was quiet. Twig was taking a nap, Alfur was filling out some reports, and Baba was curiously wandering around. She then saw the fire escape window.

Baba: "Baba?"

She walked towards the window, climbed out, and jumped down to the street! But for some reason, she didn't turn to rock. Twig saw Baba escaped, and decided to follow her.
