THIRD POV
Ximena woke up to the low sound of her alarm, she got up from bed with an excited grin on her face. Today was her and her twin's first day of school.
"Ri wake up" she said shaking her twin awake.
"Leave me alone,I wanna sleep" her twin replied using his tiny hands to cover his ears and then adjusted himself into a more comfortable position.
"Ri wake up it's our first day" immediately Xori jumped down from the bed with an excited grin similar to his sister's.
"We're gonna make so many friends and go to school like the others" Xori rambled all in one breath, while Ximena giggled.
Just then Amelia their mum entered the room, to wake the twins and get them ready for school. She was shocked to find them giggling rambling random stuff.
"Good morning kids, let's get you freshened up" she told her kids as they eagerly greeted her back and followed her.
***30 mins later***
They were dressed in their cute uniforms and matching backpacks with Ximena's hair in french braids and Xori's hair combed to the side falling to the right. They were both also wearing the family's crest, Xori's in the form of a chain and Ximena's in the firm of a necklace. They ran downstairs excitedly, getting to the dining room Ximena smiled.
"Morning everyone" they both greeted sync
A chorus of good mornings where heard as everyone was seated at the dining.
"Excited princess" Her dad asked as both the twins were trying to get seated.
"Super" Ximena replied as her brother Domenica picked her up and situated her on her seat next to his while Leo did the same to Xori.
The maid's came in and served breakfast to everyone.
When everyone finished eating all the kids consisting of both set of twins, Domenico, Angelo and Alessandro were ready to leave for school.
They were about leaving when gunshots were fired.
"Capo were under attack" Simon vincenzo's second in command said out of breath.
Vincenzo swore under his breath as he heard his daughter cry. Ximena was diagnosed with hyperacusis noise sensitivity, she sometimes wear earbuds when noises get to loud.
"Simon take all the men and fight back, Ales load the weapons and lead the weapons team' Vincenzo said using his capo tone.
"Yes capo" they both said and left.
"Hon take the kids to the safe room now" he told his wife as she was consoling Ximena.
"Ok, but be careful' as she lead her kids to the safe room. Getting
Nearer to the safe room Angelo became irritated
"Mum I've been training I can fight" Angelo said
"Your a kid' his mum replied not even soaring him sparing him a glance.
Angelo found it unfair that Ales got to help and he couldn't so he sneak of to the weapons room..
****In the safe room****
Amelia was mad at herself, her second son ran of right under her nose, she doesn't even know if he is safe. She was deeply worried for her husband and sons and at the moment she was trying to relieve Ximena's pain and calm down a scared Xori, meanwhile Leon and Leonardo were comforting each other.
"They are gonna be okay right?" Leonardo asked his twin scared
"Yes Leo"his twin replied
Just then knocks were heard, three to be exact, Amelia knew that this was the passcode, so it could be Vincenzo, a family member or someone from their mafia. She quickly gave Ximena to Dom and hurriedly opened the door to see if her husband and kids were okay. On opening the door, she was met with four huge men, looking at their tattoos alone she knew they weren't from their mafia. She quickly got into fighting stance, her kids in the corner, only only gunshots and Ximena's cries could be heated.
Amelia charged at two immediately knocking them out, another charged at her and tried to round horse kick her but she dogded right on time and did the same to him, knocking him over. She charged at the last one but before she could get to him, two gunshots were fired, everything felt like slow motion, from Amelia turning to look at her kids to her falling down, to the last man yaking Ximena to Dom, to Xori and the twins rushing to their mum, to Dom hitting the men with all his strength trying to get his sister back, to the last man keeping a letter on Amelia's pale body and injecting all the kids, including Ximena. The last thing Dom heard his sister say was "Dom save me" before he succumbed to darkness
