Y/N's POV:
The past week has been great, I was able to forget about Min kissing me because Spring Training became super busy with all the players arriving to the stadium. I'm pretty happy to see all of my favorite players on the team again. Specifically one player the Mariners got back; he use to play here, got traded but now with us once again.
"Well hello stranger!" I said walking up to Mitch Haniger.
"Y/N? It's great to see you again! How are you?" He cheerfully smiled when bringing me in for a hug.
It was great to see they put him at his old locker he use to have, "I'm doing well! Glad they got you back! We missed you out here," I smiled as I broke out of the hug.
"Oh believe me, we're happy to come back here. We love it here!"
"I had a feeling your wife and kids are glad to be back too?"
"Oh, yeah! My wife was extremely happy."
There's only one more practice left before Spring Training games start and I really can't wait.
"Y/N!" I head my name being called from another player who I haven't seen in awhile. I walked up to say hi to him and ask him a few questions for my article. I also have a few more I need to ask other players that doesn't include Seungmin. Yes, it sounds like I'm avoiding him but -- actually it's exactly how it sounds. I can't face him after what happened, it's too hard.
Seungmin's POV:
Another day, another time seeing Y/N running off to talk to other players, acting as if I'm not on the team. It's like she wants nothing to do with me after our kiss. She'll talk to me when we hang outside of baseball but only when I ask her something. If she comes over to see the guys, she'll try her best to ignore me, even the guys have finally caught on.
"Are you guys okay?" Han asked as I went to grab my stuff and head out with my teammates.
"Yeah, I'm fine...why?"
"Well, Lee Know and I have been noticing you and Y/N acting strange between each other ever since she came over that first day."
"It's nothing...let's go," I said kind of irritated by his and Lee Know's observation.
"Okay..." Is the last thing he said before him and I ran out to the field as I tried to hype myself for today's last practice. My mood was instantly brought up when my teammates called me over, making me laugh.
We did a simulation game, squad splitting up into two different teams, acting if were playing against another team. My new friend Luis Castillo, is the number one pitcher, they already announced him as the opening day starter. But my other new friend Logan Gilbert and I are still being debated as the fourth or fifth in the pitching rotation.
Well, this game was going to determine if I'm placed in which spot. I'm very competitive, so I was going to try my fucking hardest to be placed fourth.
The guys on my team are hitting first, being the visitors (visitors bat first at the top of the inning...the home team bats at the bottom of the inning.) They faced Gilbert who struck out all three batters, got the last one to swing at a pitch in the dirt.
I nodded my head, took a sip of water and walked out to the mound because it was my turn to pitch. I scanned the crowd quickly when I walked up, seeing all the fans who came to watch us, cheer for me. I know I shouldn't have done it but my eyes moved up, seeing the press box, knowing Y/N was there. It reminded me of when we were in high school and there she sat with her baseball score book, keeping track of the game.
