Chapter 19

"I'm glad that you're back!" Robbie said as I sat down at my familiar desk that's placed against the window over looking the city. 

"Good to be, I'm happy to be in my own home again," I told him because the minute I stepped foot into my apartment, I ran to my bed and threw my body on it. I didn't want to get up this morning, I wanted to keep sleeping in as long as I could. 

"And how was Vegas, how are you parents?"

"Good, they're doing fine. Just traveling and enjoying retirement." But I thought back to seeing my mom and dad, telling them all about Seungmin and seeing my old friends again.

"You ready to fly back to Seattle?" My dad asked as the waitress brought our food over.

"No, but I'm ready to be in my bed again," I mentioned as I set my napkin on my lap, ready to devour my juicy-looking burger. 

"But, you get to see Minnie." My head shot up as my eyes widen by my mom's claim. 

"Oh, yeah I saw he signed with the team!" My dad brought up.

"He's so very handsome," My mom noted as I rolled my eyes. 

I took a bit of my burger, trying to ignore my mom's compliment about Min. "Yeah," I swallowed my food before speaking again. "Um...we actually had dinner. Well with Lee Know and Han," I was basically telling my dad because I called my mom that night. 

"Mom mentioned something about that, how did it go?"

"Fine...it was great to catch up with them again."

"And...seeing Seungmin?"

"Felt strange...but it was good I guess," I tried to say nonchalantly, even though I could feel the fire inside of me start to rise. 

"You're not going to date again?" My dad casually asked as I started to choke on my food. I had to drink water to help my coughing.

"Are you okay?" My mom asked looking worriedly at me. 

I took a couple sips of my water, coughing a bit still, "I'm fine but no we aren't going to date...  He has a fiancée." I coldly let out as I picked up fries to stuff into my mouth. 

"Oh..." They both seemed disappointed about the news, trust me they weren't the only ones. 

We went back to eating and my dad changed the subject because he could tell how upset I was getting.

"Oh, breaking news!!" Robbie said as he turned up the sound on the tv.

"Two KBO pitchers from Lotte Giants are joining another Giants team in San Francisco!" The reporter on ESPN announced. "Right- handed pitcher Hyunjin Hwang and left fielder Jeongin Yang are going-"

"Oh wow, those are huge pickups for them!"

"Yup but I know they will do great there, I just know it." I couldn't help but simile at the screen. I'm so proud of my old friends coming to the MLB.  I need to call Lix and Chris to tell them they better be nice to them.
