"Reid failed his qualification" Elle says to Gideon who walks past followed closely by Lucia

"He can re-test in 2 weeks" Gideon replies

"Yeah, but he's gonna be embarrassed about it, so let's not mention it" Elle directs the last part to Derek and Lucia

"Yeah, let's not" Gideon warns as Lucia perches on Elle's desk

"Not a word" Derek replies

"Looks like kid genius isn't perfect after all" Lucia says jokingly nevertheless Elle's right hand swats the side of her thigh silencing her as Spencer walks over taking a seat at his desk opposite Elle's forcing Lucia to stand in an attempt to walk over to him only for Elle to pull her down into her own chair

Lucia let's out a huff, but quickly gets over her mood when she sees Derek approaching Reid

"Hey. We're all here for you. I'm serious" Derek says "If you ever need anything..." he pulls out a whistle and hangs it around Spencer's neck "Just blow on that" he jokes demonstrating

Spencer rips it off from around his neck clearly annoyed, making the blonde decide against speaking

"That is not your desk" JJ says walking over to the group, files in her hand

"Really? You are one hell of a profiler Jennifer" Lucia says with a grin

"Alright, enough of you" Elle says motioning for Lucia to get up from her chair

"Yes Ma'am" the blonde says standing up but subtly shifting the chair backward when she does almost making Elle fall as she attempts to take her seat

"What are you five?" Elle says trying to sound annoyed but failing to hide her grin

Lucia simply shrugs in response

JJ shakes her head trying to remind herself why she walked over in the first place "Ok, Franklin park, des plaines, yesterday afternoon" she says handing a file to each of them "Three victims shot at distance. It's the third such shooting in 2 weeks"

"A sniper?" Elle questions flicking through the file

"We don't use that word" Lucia says

"Why not?" Elle questions looking over at the blonde

"The public perception is that the FBI doesn't have an exemplary record with snipers" JJ answers for Elle, yet her gaze remains on Lucia

"Besides, a sniper is a professional marksman. These guys aren't snipers" Hotch says making Elle sink back into her chair

"What do we call 'em then?" Elle asks with a shrug

"L. D. S. K." Hotch replies

"Long distance serial killers" Spencer confirms for the brunette

"How many of these guys have we caught using a profile?" Elle asks

"None" Gideon answers

The Des plaines police have found no link between any of the victims" Hotch informs the team

"Ballistics?" Morgan asks

"He's using frangible rounds, which fragment on impact, making ballistics comparisons impossible" Hotch replies
