Zack's heart thrummed with excitement as he pulled up in front of Alex's apartment, the thoightsmof Blink-182 echoing in his mind. He smoothed down his shirt nervously, the anticipation of their date sending jitters through his veins.
It was their first solo date since they "got back together". They have been on some double dates, with Gina/Rian and Jack/Vanessa and multiple family days with Everly. Zack parked and texted Alex to alert him he arrived.
Zack: Hey baby. I am here and I am ready to rock out with you.🥰🥰
Alex: Be down in a sec baby. Making myself pretty for you❤️
Zack: Ok. Take your time. I Love you❤️
As Alex emerged from the building, Zack's breath caught in his throat at the sight of him. Alex was wearing ripped jeans, a tank top and a rugged flannel. He looked hot. Zack couldn't believe the shaggy haired, bleach blonde boy was all his.
Alex looked up from his feet as he walked and his eyes meet Zack's as he approached Zack's car. He smiled and his eyes sparkled under the streetlights, and the anticipation in his smile mirrored Zack's own.
Alex opened the door and sat down in the passenger seat.
"Hi handsome." Alex said sweetly and he leaned over the center console and kissed Zack deeply.
Zack matched the pressure, the two of them engaging in a heated kiss, after a few minutes Zack pulled away. "You better stop, otherwise we will not make it to Blink."
Alex giggled. "You are so right, but I could make out with you forever."
Zack laughed as Alex sat down and buckled his seatbelt. "Same babe."
They drove a bit, they were going to an arena here in NYC and the seats they got were actually pretty decent floor seats as Zack's boss got them the tickets.
"Ready for tonight?" Zack asked, his voice barely above a whisper, though his heart pounded loud enough for Alex to hear.
"Absolutely. This is our first night alone since we reconnected." Alex replied, a grin spreading across his face as he slipped into the passenger seat.
Throughout the drive, Zack couldn't help but steal glances at Alex, his fingers intertwined with his. With each passing mile, the tension between them grew palpable, a silent melody of longing and desire.
Finally, they arrived at the venue, the air alive with the buzz of anticipation. Zack and Alex went through security, and Zack pulled Alex along as he fought their way through the crowd to the general floor.
Alex squealed and squeezed Zack's hand very tightly in excitement.
"Holy shit. We are so close baby!" Alex gushed.
Zack grinned. "I told you my boss got us great tickets."
Alex stared up, starry eyed, the reflections of the stage lights shining in his eyes. Alex was grinning as he watched the opening band take the stage. Zack wasn't watching that show. Zack was watching Alex. As the neon lights of the concert illuminated the crowd, Zack couldn't tear his gaze away from Alex. The love of his life was Standing beside him, bathed in the colorful glow, Alex seemed to radiate an energy all his own.
Zack was mesmerized by every move Alex made, every smile he shared, Zack was captivated in a way he couldn't explain. It was as if the world faded away, leaving only Alex, he was Zack's shining star in all of the darkness. With each note that filled the air, Zack found himself falling deeper under Alex's spell, his heart swelling with a love that already felt infinite. In that moment, watching Alex in awe, Zack knew that he was exactly where he was meant to be.
