LOCATION - BRICKYARD PUB

"Let me get this straight. You put your personal, private details...on a very public website?" FDR asked dad as they were playing pool in the bar they always go to; I was sitting on another pool table as I watched them play.

I was still tired from watching Joe last night, then having to deal with that Mike who hurt my mother. Trying to explain that to dad was very hard, it involved him smashing the punching bag and throwing it out the window.

"How was Joe, and the bloke your mother went out with last night—Charlie what's wrong?" my dad asked as I walked into the loft and my mouth was stained with blood as I sighed.

"Nothing, just killed mom's date" I spoke as he looked at me with a bewildered look.

"Charlie-" "I didn't actually kill him, he is still breathing but I had a little taste" I spoke as he looked at me and asked what had happened. And I explained to him about how Joe and I watched movies and how he broke down about missing how our family used to be til the separation happened.

"After that he fell asleep and then mom came back" I spoke as he nodded, and handed me a blood bag which I drank from, "Mom was a bit drunk, and the guy..." I stopped as he looked at me and I felt myself get all angry again.

"Charlie, what did this damn man do?" he asked as I sighed. I looked up at dad and looked him dead in the eye. He jumped a bit in his spot as he saw that my eyes blacked out, my veins were shown under my eyes. The memory of what happened...

"Charlotte, breathe, tell me what happened. You are worrying me" he spoke as I took a few deep breathes. My eyes went back and my veins went under my skin.

"He forced himself on mom" after those words left my mom he went straight for the door.

"Dad" I said but he didn't say anything but leave and I left it at that, going to wash up.

After that, mom called saying that she is at the doctor with dad as he freaked out seeing the bruises the guy made and dad was coddling her. She got mad that I told dad, but she also understood as dad was always so protective of her when they were together and that wasn't going to stop just because they are on a break.

"Yes. Charlie even helped me" he spoke as he pointed to me as I was playing on my phone, I had even made a profile for me. Just not mentioning that I am a spy/ assassin or that I am a bloodthirsty vampire/ witch.

Apparently, I matched with some guy named Mason and he was British too, but when I searched him on the CIA database he had a lot of red flags. Plus, he seemed like he was either a werewolf or a furry so either way I am okay without him in my life.

"Are you insane?" FDR asked as I looked up.

"No," Dad said as he thought the girl he matched with was pretty, he said that she looked cute and sweet, but then again he thought the same about me growing up and I am almost like the devil, looks can be so deceiving.

"Where you taking her?" he asked as a dad blushed a bit, he is Brit and he is a big softie when he is not on the clock.

"Don't do that to me." He said as Uncle FDR started to sing in a country accent, "Taking her to the Blarney Stone." He said as Dad looked offended. "I like the jukebox."

"You're such a cheeseball," I said as he turned around to me as I laughed, and he smiled at me, as I used my magic to score him a point. FDR looked annoyed but I just stuck my tongue out at him.

"Look you're gonna go on this date—" I said but FDR cut me off.

"— And I'm gonna go with you" he spoke as both dad and I looked at him like he was crazy.
