Chapter 9

I didn't sleep at all..

Ang sakit ng puson ko eh. 

Ikaw ba naman tulugan habang nagmamake-out, hindi ka madidisappoint? And as for someone who's sexuality active this is really frustrating. 

I'm so freakin horny. 

But what can i do? Tulog na si Miranda. Baka nga hindi nya alam ang pinag gagawa nya. 

At para kumalma ang hormones ko, i take a shower — a long cold shower. Pero hindi narin ako natulog. I just can't be in one bed with Miranda after what happened. 

The temptations in me is strong. 

I stay in my office and do some inventory until it's 6 in the morning.  Medyo nakaramdam ako ng gutom kaya i decided to make breakfast — oo marunong ako magluto, mana ako kay Papa na may talent sa cooking. 

I'm just lazy. 

I fry eggs, bacon and hotdogs. Syempre adobo na manok, fried rice and just rice. Gumawa din ako ng fresh orange juice and brewed coffee. 

"Wow." Boses ni Papa. "May himala ba at nagluluto ka?"

Natawa ako habang nagsasalin ng mainit na kape sa tasa. "Is that a compliment or.."

"Of course it is." Lumapit si Papa sakin. "May special occasion ka lang kasi magluto Anak."

I give my father a sideway glance. "Grabe pa ha? Hindi naman." 

"So.." He look at me meaningfully. "What's the special occasion Eris?" 

"Pa.." Natawa nalang ako. Actually namiss ko yong ganitong kulitan with him. Ngayon lang kami nagkaroon pagkakataon na mag-usap ng medyo matagal, or even have breakfast together. "Nothing's special, gusto ko lang talaga magluto." And i smile at him. "Pambawi." 

"Pambawi?" 

At inabot ko kay Papa ang tasa ng kape nya. "I feel bad na we didn't have time together this past few years."He didn't say anything at all. Nakikinig lang si Papa. "I became really busy with work and —" 

"Girls." Tumango na dagdag ni Papa. 

And i didn't protests kasi totoo naman. "Yeah." Inamin ko nalang din. "But I'll try to change my ways." 

Father give me an amuse look. "Ways? Lifestyle? Hindi na girls, boys na?" 

"Father." Napailing nalamg ako. "There's no way I'll go back with men." I tried so hard not to roll my eyes. "What I'm saying is, hindi na masyado makikipag-one night stand."

"Oh." Natawa si Papa. "Then that's good." Maingat syang uminom ng kape. "But sudden change of heart?" 

May pagkamarites talaga si Papa minsan. 

"I don't know." Which is true, after Veronica kasi bigla akong naconcious. "I'm just tired."

At tinapik ni Papa ang balikat ko. "Whatever your reason is Eris, I'm happy that it changed your mind." 

I bet my sister too. 

At naghain na ako. Bska mamaya pa magising si Miranda kaya kami na muna ni Papa ang magbebreakfast. 

"Ano po plano nyo today?" I ask my father. 

Nagsandok muna sya ng kanin. "Pupunta ako sa farm today." 

My sister bought it for him para hindi mainip si Papa at may gagawin parin sya, pagkakalibangan. "Gusto mong sumama?"

I look up at him. Even if i wanted too, kaso may meeting ako ngayon. "We should set it up with the family Pa."
