Sex Bob-Omb got onto the stage and started playing. Scott soon battled with a guy named Matthew Patel, who claims to be Ramona's first evil Ex-boyfriend and a Member of The League of Evil Exes. The fight began as Scott and Matthew fight as people watch on, while you wrote down the details into your notebook as Matthew summoned spectral cheerleaders to aid him.
Scott danced with his bandmates to block his attacks before charging and punching him. Matthew disintegrates into coins and Scott took them before leaving with Ramona, while you went to talk with Kim.
"So, that happened."
Kim: "Yep."
"Want me to walk you home?"
Kim: "We can take the bus."
"Then I'll pay."
Kim: "I'll give you some change so you don't have to pay for the whole thing."
You and Kim walked out of the Rockit and got on a bus.
"So, there's a league made up of these Evil Exes that Ramona Flowers dated?"
Kim: "Apparently."
"I'm not taking sides, but who dates evil guys?"
Kim: "I don't have a damn clue."
You stayed silent for a few minutes before Kim noticed you writing in your notebook.
Kim: "Whatcha writing?"
"My book?"
Kim: "You finally got inspired, huh? What's it about?"
"Scott Pilgrim fighting for the love of Ramona Flowers."
Kim: "Interesting as that sounds, you think Scott and that girl will be okay with that?"
"For 'The Best Fighter in the Providence', no one seems to find him impressive. I think they'll probably see this story as unrealistic."
Kim: "Yeah, you might be right."
"So, I guess Scott broke up with Knives Chau?"
Kim: "Scott said nothing about that."
"Oh God. I thought infidelity was the last thing he'd ever do, but boy, was I wrong."
The bus reached its stop, and you walked with Kim the rest of the way to her home.
"I get Scott's breakup with Envy made him feel like shit, but that's no excuse to be dating a high schooler."
Kim: "Yeah, Scott's the salt of the earth. I mean, scum of the earth."
"Well, he better grow up soon, otherwise life will hit him like a train."
