Kendrick looked at his sons and shock his head it's been 5 years since a woman's been in their house yet there acting like fools

All four of them made their way to the kitchen following behind the girl they watched as she made her way to the cupboard and took out a glass and started filling it with water when the youngest spoke up

"What's your name pretty lady" Grey always being in a better mood with children than with adults told him her age and she sat down at the table opposite side of them all

Kendrick than spoke " hello again Grey let's get the introductions out the way I'm Kendrick im58 my oldest is Lucian he's 19 my second born is Xavier he's 15 and my youngest is David he's 7"

She nodded at the man and ask him the date and when she heard it she sighed but continued to say she will be 16 in 2 weeks time David was happy to have another girl in the house he wanted Grey all to himself "can you be my girlfriend" he asked happily

Grey laughed and smiled at him "your a little to young but I can be your bestest friend" David was happy either way that means she's staying forever " you can even be like my mama I don't have one anymore but everyone misses her even me I just don't remember her"

All the men in the room looked down at that knowing that David has the least amount of time with Lucinda than them all he was two when she died

Kendrick cleared the knot that was building in his throat but couldn't get any words out but he didn't have to because Grey spoke "while I'll never replace your mama David I promise you I'll try my best to show and give you all my love cause your mama would have love too okay" David nodded and ran up to hug Grey she held him close and kissed the top of his head

Everyone of the boys looked at grey like the new light in the house knowing that there mother and wife would have loved Grey for being selfless Kendrick knew he could never marry again for the loss was just to much to bare but knowing that this young girl was willing to give her family a chance was enough for him to see the light on the other side

David sat himself on Greys lap still holding onto her noticing the smirks of everyone around she decided to keep the energy more vibrant and if these people were willing to fight for her she was willing to do the same

"Okay y'all how about I cook us all something I haven't ate in ages I could eat a horse" Grey said while the older knew she wasn't kidding David laughed and suggested spaghetti Grey nodded and got up and asked everyone If they'd like to help

All the boys nodded and Kendrick grabbed Lucinda's cooking book and handed it to Grey

The boys were all laughing like they never laughed before ,Kendrick told one of his men to take a picture of them all together and smiles were all seen in the photo

All of the lockwells sat around there dinner table the only thing heard was breathing and forks scratching against there plates

Years of searching cause a drift between the family and than the news of the death of Grey dampened it more

After the knife incident all the lockwells focused on Gracie she was between life and death and none of the family had hope that her little body could handle such a wound

Malik the youngest son went back to the girls room he couldn't handle seeing his sister in such a state he wanted to ask grey why she did that to her best friend her twin but when he opened it he seen the room empty

He sat on Gracie's bed and was lost in thought just looking around until he seen the baby bear recorder that gets sent straight to his father's computer he ran back to the room with all his brothers in father and mother waiting in and told his father

He thought he was doing something good getting the reason but his father was pissed " why would I want to see her trying to kill her sister" he didn't even want to say her name but he grabbed the bear anyways and made his way to his office with the rest of his sons while the mother waited on news from doctors

He got on his computer and pulled the last video recording up and listened "I want my Prince to be as tall as daddy" he wanted to smile hearing that but he kept his eyes on greys movements

All the men were shocked to see her leave the room some of them wanted to stop the video knowing what comes next but than they heard a males voice "of course when I had the chance to kill both of you one just got away" Gracie cried and tried to run away when she was grabbed

The video felt like hours but than Grey walked into the room with water they watched as she walked towards the man even when she hit him in the balls the men were proud but than they seen him slash his knife across her face and Gracie yell

What felt like a paradox they watched the rest anger is all they felt watching as Grey was pushed around and even slapped he cut the video and put his head down

He quickly called the guard he sent to send her away and they tried calling the driver with no answer so they tracked his car

When they pulled up to the car they seen it in flames with Richard the driver hanging out of the car

Knowing that they lost one but might lose both girls they rushed back home with heavy hearts the day felt like it was only getting worse but than the doctor ran out and told all the family "we were able to save her don she's on some heavy medication but she should make a full recovery with minimal scars"

It was news that made him happy but his heart was heavy for the last words that were ever spoken to his youngest
