I watched as Dave tried to fix his drumset for the 5th time this week. He's always breaking something. If it's not his drumsticks, its his actual drums. If it's not his drums, then its a limb. Just last year I had to bring him to the emergency room because he broke 2 fingers.
"Want me to help?"
I asked him.
"Nah, don't bother. You wouldn't know what to fix anyways."
He answered. Fair enough. I build and repair guitars. Not drums. Anyways, I'm always fixing or making a new guitar for Kurt, so there's no use in me helping.
"I wanna be useful though, why am I just standing here."
I whined.
Dave thought about it for a second.
"Can you tie up my hair for me?"
He asked. I nodded. I got a hair tie, and sat down behind Dave. I was about to tie his hair when I saw just how tangled his hair is.
"God look at your hair! I gotta brush it."
I huffed. I ran to get my hairbrush, then ran back. I started softly brushing his hair while he fixed his drums. He had a soft expression on his face. When I started brushing out a large knot, he winced slightly.
"I'm sorry..."
I said gently. Once I finally got rid of the knot, he let out a sigh of relief. I finished brushing his hair out, and tied it back for him.
"Thank you."
He said quietly. I smiled softly.
"No problem."
He continued fixing his drums, and finally finished. I watched him intently, yawning softly. He stretched his arms, then looked over at me.
"You tired?"
He asked.
"Mhm."
I answered.
"Let's go sleep then. I wanna cuddle."
Dave answers. He stands up, helps me up, then drags me upstairs. We get to his room, and he pulls me into bed immediately. He spoons me, and buries his face in my neck. He yawns and sighs softly.
