Astrid becomes busy as soon as she starts her work at the hospital, since before she arrived, the pediatric surgeon of the hospital resigned to apply for a job in the big city.

The people were welcoming and friendly, but she felt like an alien under their gaze. They looked at her as if she's a rare creature.

Today, since she has free time, she planned to visit her so-called uncle in this town. She cooked some steak and lasagna and brought it to their house.

How did she know the way to the chief house? It's because she asked for direction, obviously.

Astrid inhaled and knocked on the door, it's already dinner time, so she expected the chief to be home. The door opened, and it revealed a man with a moustache and curly brown hair. His eyes were chocolate brown, and his 6 foot tall, he must be Charlie Swan.

"Can I help you?" He started, yep, she forgot they still haven't met.

"I'm Astrid, Astrid Swan." I introduce awkwardly.

His eyes seemed to light up in understanding. He scratched his head awkwardly.

"Oh, I'm sorry, it's been years since I last so you, you looked different, and I even remember your name wrong, I thought it was Aylin." He said as he laughed it off.

But I smiled tightly and wished that damn woman was now in front of me. How could I believe her when she says her uncle probably forgotten her name, after all, whose uncle would forget a relatives name?!.

"No, you're right. Aylin was my sister, I'm Astrid." I said, I came up with new excused because if I still proceeded as Astrid Swan, the daughter of his cousin and the girl he met before then what if one day, he met Aylin, what would Aylin do? pretend she doesn't know her own uncle?.

It's good to have a safe identity, I can act as me, Astrid, the other daughter of his cousin whom he never met.

I can see confusion dancing in those chocolate brown eyes, "Aylin was my sister, not by blood." I clarify and let him fill up the rest. It's best to say little.

He then nodded in understanding.

"I'm here to give you and Bella a thanks for picking me up in the airport, I made lunch." I said as I showed the food in my hand.

"Come in, I'm sorry I was not able to pick you up by myself. There was an emergency in the county, and they needed all the hand they could get." He said.

"I understand, it's part of the job, I myself am a doctor, I know what it feels to pick between my patient and my family." I said understandingly, but his face fell down. Did I say something wrong?.

"I'll make it up to you, I heard from Bella you live alone?." He asked, as we both prepared the utensils in the table.

"Yeah, the house that I was living was my grandma, my mother's mother. It was newly renovated, so I just moved in." I answered.

"It's really a surprised to find out that James remarried." He sighs.

I'm sorry to James, for he has another daughter and unknown wife, may his soul rest in peace.

"Bella, it's time for dinner!" Charlie called.

"Coming!" Bella shouted and walked downstairs, her hair still wet from the shower. She paused in the stairs and looked at the other person in the house.

"Bella." Astrid nodded at her, Bella smiled awkwardly and walked down the stairs as she greeted Astrid.

"Astrid, you're here." Bella said.

Astrid smiled at her, "It's my free time, so I decided to give Uncle and you a visit, I bought food, as thank you for welcoming me in Forks." Astrid said.
