CHAPTER 2

Anuj came to his room and sat on his bed closing the door. He turned off the lights, laid on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

'Kyu Anu..? Kyu kiya tumne aisa...? Kya kami reh gaya mere pyaar mei..?' Mai.. Mai maanta hu ki Samar ki death ko leke tum upset ho, naraz ho mujhse, but mujhe nahi pata tha ki vo apne buddy ko bachane bich mei aayega..' Anuj thought.

Anupama's image came infront of him with a smile and sat beside him.

'Ab tum hi batao Anu... Mai kya karu..? Aadhya zid karti hai ki mai Shruti se shaadi karu... Mai Shruti se pyaar nahi karta hu, vo meri achi dost hai bas.. Jisse mai pyaar nahi karta, jo meri sabse achi dost hai jaise ki Devika hai, mai Shruti se shaadi kar ke use bina pyaar diye uski puri zindagi kaise barbaad kar du..?'

Anupama just gave a smile and vanished into thin air. But Anuj got his answer when he kept himself in place of his love, Anupama. She would have married and tried her best to keep others happy and then herself in the last. He smiled in pain.

'Sorry Shruti, mai tumhe pyaar nahi de paaunga but I will try ki mai tumhe khush rakh saku..' Anuj promised himself to keep Shruti happy no matter whatever it takes.

After all he is Anuj Kapadia, who keeps others first and himself last. He tried to sleep but couldn't. Shruti also couldn't sleep as she was trying to guess the matter that's bothering Anuj. She knew that Anuj will never share her as he doesn't share it with his kaka.

Aadhya came to Shruti's room and laid beside her with a happy face. Shruti looked at her.

'Papa maan gaye tumse shaadi ke liye Shruu..'

'Ha..?'

'Haa...???? Nahi.... Ha kaha tumse shaadi karne ke liye...' Aadhya was on cloud nine.

'Achanak se..?'

'Arey bhul jao sab.. Vo maan gaye isse zyada aur kya chahiye...?'

Aadhya was so out of control that she called Shruti's parents and told them. They were happy too and decided to come to USA.

That night Aadhya slept with Shruti and Shruti still couldn't believe that Anuj said yes but she was happy that he did.

Yes, Shruti has long fallen in love with him and how couldn't she fall in love with Anuj..? The man who is kind hearted, respects others, loves children and gives equal treatment to all his employees. The man who is strict at work but is soft when it comes to his daughter's matters. Any girl would fall in love with him due to his personality, so did she.

The next day, Anuj went to a dance academy to invest on business purpose. He came near his car and was about to sit when Shruti came there and told him that she wanted to talk with him. They both went to a restaurant and to Anuj's surprise he saw Anupama there. But Anupama went inside the kitchen and didn't see him.

Shruti asked him to confirm whether he said yes to Aadhya to marry Shruti. Anuj requested Shruti to leave the restaurant and talk this matter in their house. She agreed and they left. Anuj told her that he did say yes and then he went to his room.

Anupama was crossing the road when Pari, Kinjal and Toshu's daughter along with Kinjal saw Anupama and they met. Anupama went to Kinjal's house on her request and also to meet her son Toshu.

She was about to leave from there when the door bell rang and Shah family entered inside. Hasmukh and Leela, Mr. Shah's parents and Anupama's ex-in laws who she sees as her parents blessed her. They requested Anupama to stay with them but she denied their request.

Few days passed by. Shruti was working near Spice and Chutney's restaurant and since she liked the food, she became a regular customer and that's how she started becoming close to Anupama. Since she became friends with Anupama, Shruti invited her to her birthday party and Anupama agreed.

Anupama entered inside and saw Aadhya but didn't recognise her. Aadhya who saw her became mad and was about to say something when Anuj came downstairs and saw Anupama and vice versa. Both were shocked and their love for each other glittered in their eyes. Shruti came downstairs.

'Anupama..' She smiled and went near her.

'Anuj, yeh hai Anupama meri friend.. Aur Anupama yeh hai Anuj, mere hone wale fiance..' She said making Anupama shocked and heartbroken.

Anuj just wished that he could stop the time and turn it back a few seconds ago before Anupama can know that he is about to marry someone else. Shruti called Aadhya near and introduced her..

'Yeh hai Aadhya Kapadia, Anuj ki beti...' Shruti introduced her and Anupama knew she was choti Anu.

'Aap yaha kyu aaye..?' Aadhya asked Anupama in rage.

'Aadhya yeh kaisi baat kar rahi ho tum..? Yeh meri dost hai, maine invite kiya hai inhe yaha..' Shruti said.

'Dost..? Shruu tumhe aur koi nahi mili dosti ke liye..?' Aadhya got pissed off and just asked Anu to leave.

Anupama left making Anuj heartbroken once again as he was helpless in that situation. Anuj wished he could run to his Anu, hug her and just make everything sorted out. But he couldn't as he know Anupama will not come back. But still, he went behind her and Shruti went behind Aadhya.

'Anu...' Anuj called her while she halted.

'Anupama..' She said.

'Anu---anupama...' He smiled with pain.

'Aapko jaana chahiye Shruti ke paas.. Vo aapka intezaar kar rahi hogi..' Anupama said. Anuj went speechless. He just wanted to express his love for her and that's the reason he came behind her even after he promised Aadhya that he wouldn't.

'Mai bas yeh puchne aaya ki tum kaisi ho..? Aur sorry Aadhya...' Anuj spoke while she intervened.

'Mai thik hu... Aur rahi baat Aadhya ki toh mai jaan gayi ki aapne bahut laad pyaar se paala use... Isliye badon se aise badtameezi se baat kar rahi hai..' Anupama said but to be honest she never meant that. She just tried to break Anuj's heart so that he can marry Shruti easily. Anuj just looked at her unable to answer her.
