CHAPTER 6

Shruti kept waiting until the competition in her school was completed. Neither Aadhya nor Anuj showed up. Shruti felt bad. She went to her studio. She drifted into her past.

Shruti and Aadhya were dancing on the first day and Anuj came. Shruti saw him through the mirror and saw his smile but when she followed his gaze, she knew that he was happy seeing Aadhya happy.

But today when she was backstage, she saw Anuj's expressions looking at both of them dancing. His eyes glittered, the smile on his lips showed how happy he was. That smile was from within, a smile which Shruti didn't see before. Also, Shruti realised something. She couldn't focus on her work. So she went out to take fresh air.

'Aadhya.. Tum aur Anuj school kyun nahi aaye..? Maine dance practice kiya, apna kaam bhi kiya toh studio mei kaam karte karte practice kiya steps taaki tumhe competition mei jita saku..' Shruti thought.

She went to Anuj's house. Anuj and Aadhya were happy, talking and smiling within themselves. It hurt Shruti's feelings, not because Anuj and Aadhya are close but because both of them forgot about Shruti. She walked and came infront of them. Aadhya was about to speak when Shruti interfered.

'I am sorry Aadhya.. Mai.. I can't come to your school... Mai kaam mei fas gayi thi.. Sorry..' She said.

'Its ok Shruu.. No problem..' Aadhya replied. Shruti went to her room. Aadhya turned towards Anuj feeling guilty.

'Kya hua Aadhya..? Everything alright..?' Anuj questioned.

Aadhya replied Anuj that she had a dance performance with Shruti but she didn't go, luckily Shruti got stuck with work or else Shruti would have been sad because of her. Shruti heard this from upstairs and gave a small smile.

'Kam se kam tumhe yaad toh hai ki mere saath perform karna tha tumhe..' Shruti went to her room.

Anuj consoled Aadhya and asked her not to be sad. Shruti couldn't go, so she didn't know the matter, so he just advised her to forget the matter. Aadhya nodded and went to her room.

Anuj closed his eyes and remembered how happy he was when he saw Anupama and Aadhya dancing on a stage together. That moment... A moment which he can't forget, a moment which will live in his heart forever.

Anupama on the other hand, also smiled remembering her dance with Aadhya.

'Aaj aisa lag raha hai jaise mere har zakhm pe tumne mujhe marham lagaya Aadhya.. Vo pal... Kaise batau ki vo pal kya hai mere liye..?'

"Anupama...????"

Anupama turned back and saw Mr. Vanraj Shah.

"Tum yaha kya kar rahi ho..?" Vanraj questioned.

"Oh sorry... I mean to ask ki yaha Toshu ke ghar mei kya kar rahi ho..?"

'Vo toh nahi kar rahi hu jo aap kar rahe hai Mr. Shah.. Dusron ka dimaag kharab karna..' Anupama replied.

"Anupama.."

'Pata hai mera naam hai.. Chilla kyu rahe hai aap..? Kaan hai mere, sun sakti hu mai..'

"Tumhe toh mai baad mei dekh lunga.." Vanraj left.

Anupama heard Pakhi yelling at her daughter Ishani. So she went near her and made Pakhi understood that one shouldn't shout at kids. Slowly time flew by and Aadhya spent time with Shruti. Aadhya asked Shruti to propose Anuj in front of everyone and she would love it, she would be over the moon when Anuj accepts Shruti's proposal. Shruti agreed.

That day Anuj went to his office to work while Aadhya and Shruti decorated their house. They even ordered some sweets, Shruti also prepared something special for Anuj and the guests with her own hands. She was excited but nervous at the same time.
