what y'all get instead is the process of making the idea for this! it was... intresting!
so the name "an intimate obsession" started as as fic for a compleatly different fandom funny enough but I realized I wasn't really enjoying writing it so I just stopped before it was published, it just kinda sat there... doing nothing... until! I became a Lumini shipper! then I used the name for a royal AU which I'll put the description of in a sec, but I realized it was very similar to my demon AU

Sun has been working since he was old enough to. trying to earn enough money for his family, his brother Moon trys to help but goes after jobs he likes instead of ones that will get them money. through a merchant named Monty who is dating his sister Earth, the Lord of their province, Eclipse, hears of Sun and hires him, the family can't believe it! they are thrown up in the world, such as Earth who gets hired as a therapist for the castle staff (God knows they need therapy-) and Moon who gets to be a scientist for the castle. but not everyone is happy about this, Eclipse seems to want something from Sun... after all... something that's too good to be true typically is for this family
yeah... um... very different... so I scrapped it, also at that point I wasn't making stuff out of grief for Solar sooooooooooo
and now we're here, I got the inspo while on vacation and was trying to avoid my family at the beach and thought
"huh... what if I took the ideas I don't like and smush them together...?"
I did it to make a funny shit book but then ended up liking the idea...
but yeah, I wanted to make a pirate AU, a siren AU, and a royal AU but didn't like any of them on their own enough to write them so it ended up as this...
