How Promises Should Lie

Vera was at the stable where her horse devil was stalled, Vera had a bad day and decided she wanted to train her horse with the mounting block since she had trouble with mounting her horse.

She got her horse from the fields and put her in a paddock she tied her lead rope to the halter and started training

After half n hour her horse finally stood at the mounting block multiple times

She had just layed herself onto the horses back and the horse stepped back and stood still Vera decided In that moment she was going to get on she swung her leg over the horse

She was on she did it. Her friend was yelling at her to get off this was never the plan but Vera was stubborn and wanted to ride.

It was a normal day in the hospital. Until I got a call saying I needed to get to the ambulance.

I did as I was told and once in the ambulance I got told we were going to a girl who had possible brain damage. The girl had fallen off her horse

I had seen this more often it often came with a lot of injuries all I wished was that the girl was fine

I was laying on the ground my friend was holding my head still In her lap

I saw the lights of the ambulance getting closer and heard male voices yelling orders at each other

1 guy went to get the gurney and the other a headlock while the 3th guy came to me and checked my vitals.

"CLEAR" he yelled at the others he lifted my head and checked how I had been laying before the guy with the head block finally came to us. I finally managed to mumble out some words since I had fallen off of devil

"Is..- is she okey" was all u managed to say before I lost my speech

"who?" The guy who checked my vitals asked. I was pretty sure he told me his name but I couldn't remember

A small whisper left my mouth "devil." My friend then told me the horse was fine and that they were more worried for me

Then I realized something and tried to sit up with was prevented by the doctor. "No" he simply said

I groaned "kep?" I asked my friend she slowly grabbed something from behind her. My kep it was ruined and the plastic was broken I was more devastated about that then the possibility I had a concussion

I had to stop the girl from getting up multiple times as we got her on the ambulance her friend drove behind us the whole way to the hospital while the girl who I had learned was Vera had gone unresponsive.

The other medics told me this was normal but I knew something was up so when we arrived at the hospital I immediately ordered a head CT and mumbled to myself.

"This is definitely a story to tell Matheo and Xavier" at that moment for the first time since she entered the ambulance a small whisper left her mouth I just couldn't make out what she said

"Hey there little lady" I said as I walked her hospital bed from the CT room to her normal room "you got some serious damage up there" I said pointing at her head

She let out a slight laugh and it made me smile it was a sign of her being semi okay.

She tried to sit up but I stopped her and tutted slightly "nuh uh you need to stay put" why did I tut at her she wasn't some girl I'd have sex with she was a patient I needed to stay professional here.

She smiled at me "to bad I don't listen to men" and proceeded to try and sit up anyway. This made me chuckle as I pushed her down again

"Okey then I'll make a deal with you" she seemed intrigued so I continued "once I see your CT results and if they're okay I'll let you sit up I'll even apologize for keeping you down?"
