chapter 14

We are sitting in the dining room for our breakfast .

Some maid came from the kitchen and served us our breakfast.

I saw that in my plate aloo ka Paratha and a bread with peanut butter was served.

I peeked at my brothers to see that they have already started eating.

I sat there silently not knowing how to tell them.

Will they shout

What if I don't get food

Will they punish me.

I came from my overthinking state when I was disturbed by a voice.

" What happened, you don't like it" Reyansh Bhai said.

" No it's not that" I said

" Then what happened" he said

" Actually I am allergic to peanuts" I said nervously.

"Ohh"
" I am sorry we forgot it , what do you want, I will make for you" vihaan Bhai said  being guilty

" No it's ok I can eat the Paratha" I said.

After some time

I was eating my breakfast peacefully when I again for disturbed by a voice.

God why can't I eat my breakfast peacefully.

" When you are finished with your breakfast come in my office " Reyansh Bhai said strictly.

I nodded and quickly ate my breakfast.

" Come follow me I'll show you the office" Aarav said.

I stood up and followed him. As we were on the way. I asked

" Am I in trouble"

" No " he said with a smile.

" Then why did he call me in his office" I said nervously

" I don't know" he said  shrugging.

I stay quiet.

" This is the office, go inside I have some work so I will come back before lunch " he said

" Ok" I said nervously

" Don't worry and go inside " Aarav Bhai said and left.

I took a deep breath and knocked on the door .

" Come in"

I opened the door and went inside seeing the beautiful office.

I sood there awkwardly not knowing what to do.

" Come and sit here" he said while pointing on the chair infront of him.

I quickly and went and sat down .

It was silent for a minute when I spoke .

" Why did you call me" I said .

" It's just some rules and instructions you have to follow" he said in a formal tone .

I nodded and he started saying the rules.

" You have to respect us and we will respect you"

" No swearing "

" No dating till we approve it"

" We expect you to have good grades"

" Curfew will be from 10am."

* No having sex "

I nodded awkwardly while listening to all the rules.

" And lastly verbal answers" he said.

I nodded but replied "ok" quickly.

" After lunch Aarav will take you to shop for your necessities and school stuff. You will start school next week" he said.

" Ok and thank you for taking me in with you " I said gratefully

" You have no reason to be thankful, you are our baby sister and we are a family " he said softly.

" Now go and rest you have an eventful day ahead" he said.

I walked outside the office and went towards my room.

I was smiling the whole way.

It's the first time someone considered me as their family after dad.

I walked in my room and took a nice long nap till lunch.
