"I apologize, but we are unable to deliver your order. As part of our procedures during lockdowns, our kitchens have been closed during this lockdown for safety concerns, I once again apologize for this inconvenience." Susumu said nothing as he hung up the phone. He released an exhausted sigh as he hid his face in his hands. Why him? Why does this have to happen to him??? Susumu doesn't know how he could handle this. He might actually cry."None of the channels work!" Ashido, who's on the bed that's in front of the TV, repeatedly pressed every button on the remote, but nothing changed that annoying flashing red screen. "They could've at least given us at least one channel or something!"
"There's no connection at all, I can't call Momo or anyone else!" Hagekure cried, she spent the last several minutes attempting to call all their friends with no luck.
"I'm sure they're all fine, look at the bright side, we came to visit Susumu just in time. Now he doesn't have to be alone. Ribbit." Asui tried to ease her friend's worry with little luck.
For the first time ever, he actually wants Shouto to be here with him. Hell, he'd rather be with a group of villains instead of being stuck here with these girls. Susumu doesn't want to cry, especially not in front of them, but he feels his hope dissipating by the second.
It became clear to the four of them that this lockdown would take a while. Ashido and Hagekure both became immediately upset once realizing there was no internet connection whatsoever. They've basically been cut off from the rest of the world, and they're dismayed they can't watch the newest episode of their favorite romance show or listen to K-pop. The three of them aren't concerned about the whole lockdown, yes, they're worried, but ultimately, the situation will be handled. After all, there are probably hundreds of heroes and police on the island, it should be the safest place on earth.
Asui is probably the calmest out of everyone, she became the voice of reason among her friend group. She sorta reminds Susumu of Fuyumi.
"Are you tired Todoroki?" Asui asked, "we can all sleep if you want."
Susumu shook his head, "...I don't want to sleep..." and missed anything, went unsaid. Although he will most likely be stuck as a sitting duck within this room, he doesn't want to potentially miss anything. Any information, no matter how small, may be vital. In this case, he's going to form a timeframe for how long the lockdown is and note down anything important.
Of course, Susumu couldn't explain that out loud, instead, the girls interpreted his statement as worry. "Awww, that's so sweet, he's worried for his brother." Hagekure cooed and Susumu shuddered.
"I wish I wasn't an only child." Ashido pouted.
The indivisible girl pouted along with her pink friend. "Same! I have an older cousin, but he went a college overseas and I haven't seen him in forever. And I've always wanted a younger sibling, I think I'll make a great older sister!"
"I know right!" The girls proceed to have a conversation about their family and home life, which Susumu couldn't care less to listen to; he had more important things to worry about. Such as the reasoning behind the island's current lockdown.
From the very beginning, this entire situation screams sabotage; obviously, the perpetrators came prepared, and they were confident enough to attack the most advanced island in the world by directly targeting the central tower, where the entire Island's security, alongside many other valuable things, was held. This also implies they have someone on the inside working for them; the fact that they exactly knew where the Island's security was located and knew how to operate the system is not a coincidence. They most likely helped sneak them in while using the I-Expo event as a cover. And they're using the security against the heroes; one wrong move, and they'll unleash sentries against the innocent civilians. Everyone on the island has become a hostage. Including him. Great...
