"I'm highly disappointed in you, Kimura. Not only did you associate with a troublesome detective, but you became his servant. Did you forget your place within the police force? Did you forget your oath? What made you think serving that detective would do you any good?"

Kimura Koushin's face showed his reaction; he remained calm as he was reprimanded by the head of the police department. The last time he was in this position was back when he was a rookie, young, hotheaded, ambitious, and obsessed with justice. He was disciplined once and swore to himself it would never happen again.

His superior continued on, speaking about his unacceptable actions and the foreseen consequences. Reading the man's mind revealed he was under extreme pressure from HSPC. He was even forced to have several meetings with the president and other higher management. Funny, considering how Kimura never spoke to these people.

Shouldn't they speak with him? He was the one who worked with Suki, not his boss. Did Hawks have something to do with this? He only managed to speak to him once through the phone; it was purely business, and for once Hawks spoke seriously instead of that annoying upbeat attitude.

Suki... no- Susumu, he hadn't spoken to him since their last phone call. Everything since then has escalated so quickly. He couldn't help but feel regret; if only he had done things differently, then maybe they wouldn't have been in this situation. Then maybe Susumu would still continue as Suki.

He was among the first to hear about Suki's suspension, and he was also among the first to immediately protest.

Others don't understand it, but the world needs Suki. The world already has enough heroes. There are enough people stopping crimes, but there aren't enough people preventing them in the first place. In a world where everyone is obsessed with action and violence, they forget how vital those who work behind the scenes are. Heroes wouldn't be necessary if Suki stopped crimes from being committed at all.

He may be a child, but he will grow up to be one of the deadliest minds in the world. There was no point in hiding from Suki. If a villain leaves behind a strand of hair at the crime scene, Suki will find a way to connect it back to them, then plot their entire downfall. He would become terrifying if turned against heroes.

Suki isn't just a detective, he's an analyst. Someone who watches to see what makes you tick. Determine your strengths and weaknesses. Predicts your next move and plans ahead of them. Allows his enemies to never see how they're dancing on the palm of his hands.

It was a shame what happened to the doctor, but he felt no sympathy for the bastard. He would've gladly killed the man himself for having such a sick mind. To think people like him roam the earth and go unpunished for so long.

Koushin would gladly take all the blame if it meant Suki could continue hunting criminals like that bastard doctor.

Growing up, Kimura Koushin experienced many forms of injustice and was always in a powerless position. It was always his dream to deliver justice. Like many children, he once dreamed of becoming a hero and defeating all the bad guys. But he soon understood his quirk wasn't convenient as a hero. So he settled on the next best option, becoming a police officer.

But as he grew older, Koushin continuously asked himself; Is this the type of justice he was seeking when he was younger?

His parents constantly committed small petty crimes, and young Koushin watched in the background as his parents got drunk while bragging about all of their crimes. He always kept an eye on them, constantly reading his parents' minds, no matter how many times they told him not to. His father could become violent in an instant, and he never knew when the man would decide to direct his violent tendencies at someone. And it didn't help that his stepmother would watch everything and do nothing, through his quirk Koushin found out she got this sick satisfaction watching them suffer.
