Aelia moved around the kitchen, getting out bowls, spoons, seasonings and more as she prepared Thanksgiving. It was going to be their first Thanksgiving since leaving Southside, and she wanted everything to work out. Elena had to work, but she would be at dinner. Alex would at the house around 9 to help out while the kids would be going to the Thanksgiving parade, with Ian as Lip is staying back to help Aelia

Meredith, Cristina and George were going to join the Gallagher's for Thanksgiving but somehow got roped into Thanksgiving dinner with Izzie. While the three would like to be with their friend, they also couldn't leave Izzie alone.

Well Cristina was willing to leave Izzie alone, but Aelia and Meredith both forced her into going. In Meredith words "We can't leave Izzie alone on a day to be thankful for" Which had Cristina rolling her eyes, but in Aelia words "You can't leave Meredith to fend for herself with only George there for backup" so she ended up with an invite to Izzie dinner. Yay her.

"Hey" Aelia smiled as her siblings walked in already dressed for the day "Breakfast is on the table. Oatmeal for today, with banana and juice" The kids took their seats around the table muttering their thanks as Ian took the bottle Aelia was holding out

"So, should I do potato egg salad, or tuna salad?" Aelia asked her siblings as she pulled the turkey out of the oven to start preparing it

Behind her backs, Ian, Lip, Carl, Liam and Debbie shared looks, debating with their eyes, which one they wanted, when Lip spoke "Potato egg salad" Liam and Carl sighed sadly, wanting tuna but knew it was three against 2 "Got it" Aelia nodded

Carl turned to Andrew who was drinking his milk in Ian arms, looking around "You better be a tuna lover" He whispered narrowing his eyes when Andrew only smiled at him, some milk spilling out of his mouth making him scrunch up his nose

Lip shook his head, reaching over to wipe his baby brother mouth

Aelia stood at the counter watching her siblings with a smile. That was what she was thankful for, being able to get the kids out of a city that would love to see them fail, to a city were the people around them push them to succeed

Moving might have been hard, but it was worth it when the kids have more room to grow and turn into the wonderful young adults she knows they can be

"Hey! Hey!" Alex called out as he walked through the front door, toeing his shoes off at the door knowing Aelia didn't like when muddy shoes were brought in the house "In the kitchen!" Aelia called out as she focused on

Alex threw his jacket on the sofa as he walked past the living room, before stopping at the kitchen doorway watching his sister move around "Hey sis" Aelia smiled at him over her shoulder "Hey Bro"

Alex kissed her head before moving towards Andrew who was in his bouncer "Hey little guy" Alex crouched down to kiss Andrew head making him squeal and the two adults laugh "Where are the others?" Alex asked standing back up

"Lip went to drop them off at the parade, then he's coming back to help" Aelia told him, as she moved to fill a pot with water for the eggs "Alright, where do you want me?" Alex asked rolling up his sleeves

"Dessert duty" Aelia pointed to a set up away from the main food, where everything Alex needed to make pies, pudding and cake were set out "Got it" Alex smiled, he loved baking, it was his little secret. Growing up, he wasn't allowed to bake as his 'father' saw it as ladylike and said men shouldn't bake.

Bullshit

When Aelia found out, she went out that same day and bought a lot of baking supplies, cookbooks, ingredients and more just for him. She also emptied a cabinet for his stuff so it wouldn't get ruined.
