*My POV*

| Time skip |

We were soon able to go back into the water. "Okay, here we go. You find a mate, little guy, and you stay away from the cold water, okay? Bye-bye." Snow said as we dived into the water and swam off. "For a sea turtle, and mermaid/mermen the odds of surviving in the ocean are pretty slim. Shelly, Chris, Martin, Izzy and I made it through tough situations with, at times, a little help from the humans. But somehow, no matter how hard we tried, fate was determined to keep us apart." Older Sammy explained.

As we were swimming, we heard the panicked cries of female turtles. "Hurry!" We heard as we swam towards it. We saw two Leatherback female sea turtles swimming towards us. "You have to help us!" The other female said. "What's wrong?" Sammy and I asked. "He's trapped! He's gonna fall over!" The first female said.

"Who?" The four of us asked confused. "Hurry, follow us!" The second female said, before they swam off. We began following them. They were leading us somewhere before we saw a shipping container about to fall over the edge. "We brought someone to help you!" One of the females said.

"Good. 'Cause this thing's about to go! Oh, hold on. Is that all you could find? You might as well have brought me a shrimp! They're too small! What's he gonna do? How can they help me, huh?" The familiar voice the male leatherback sea turtle said. "Stop moving. You're gonna send yourself over the edge, and then you're done for!" Sammy and I said.

"Wait a second. You both sound familiar. Come here." He said and Sammy and I swam a little closer. "Come on. Come closer. Let me get a better look at both of you." He said and soon enough we were almost in front of him. "Well, twist my shell, 'cause I can't believe this. Sammy?! Izzy?! Sammy, Izzy, is that you?!" He suddenly asked and Sammy and I smiled wide.

"Ray! I though you were--" Sammy said but was cut off. "Go ahead. Go on, say it--turtle soup, huh?" Ray asked and we laughed. Chris and Martin was just confused. "How did you ever get away?" I asked. "Oh, it takes a lot more to stop old Ray here. You know that." Ray said as we were smiling.

"Can you two stop blubbering for a moment?" One of the females said but we were too busy to listen. "They found me, tossed me in the bait bucket. Whoo-hoo! Good thing, too, 'cause I was starving." Ray said as we were trying to find a way out for him. "After I ate all the bait, I jumped overboard. By then, we were miles away from each other. I blame myself for us getting separated." Ray said sadly.

"No, Ray--" Sammy and I began before the shipping container slipped. Ray yelped. "He's gonna fall over if you don't get him out of there!" One of the females said. "We can do this." I said as we swam towards it before I pulled on the thing blocking the entrance. "How did you end up in this thing anyway?" Sammy, Chris and Martin asked.

"Okay, let me tell you about it, right? It was full of frozen squid when I found it. It was gonna be an easy in-and-out. But it slipped, and I got trapped. So, I just started to eat 'em one by one, 'cause they thawed out real slow, but as I was eating them, I started getting full, then I started moving slow, then I couldn't move. And you know me--I got the itis. So, I started to take a nap--" Ray said, but I cut him off.

"Okay, no more talking. It's time to get you out of there." I said and I began swimming to the back with Sammy, Chris and Martin. Sammy and I began pulling on a lever that had a rope attached to it as we tried to open it. Sammy started slamming his shell into it, moving it little by little.

"Easy, Sammy, Izzy. Easy, Sammy, Izzy." I heard Ray say. "Don't move, Ray. Stay still." I said as I tried to pull the lever up again. But it started slipping more and Sammy, Chris, Martin and I quickly grabbed the rope. "No! Ray!" Sammy said. "Oh, no! Sammy, Izzy! Get me out of here! Get me out of here!" Ray said.
