You were my heart, but not my forever.

Solitude was not what I pictured,
Our love lost, now disfigured.
I missed the days when I was naive,
When I knew, that you would not leave.

Our days were of joy, peace and bliss,
The days that were young, those I miss.
Where we danced in the rain, and sun
Number of problems we had were none.

We don't talk like we once did.
Your heart moved on, while mine hid.
Nostalgia takes over as I watch you grow.
I lie in my coffin 6 feet below.

I was yours, she takes my place.
She has your love, care and grace.
We were meant to be together,
But I was your heart, not your forever.
