SEVEN

2 weeks after new years party
SOKKAS POV
Ever since Suki cheated on me I haven't been feeling all too well. I'm still joky and happy or whatever but just not the same. The entire Gaang has been really supportive, especially Zuko. And fortunately word spread and now Sukis getting death stares all over, so I guess that's nice or something. Speaking of Zuko... "I don't know why, but everytime I'm near him I get this feeling. Everytime we're close I get that feeling. I am bisexual, I know it. So.. Do I have feelings for Zuko? I love his golden eyes, it's like a beautiful sunset everytime you look into them. And his shaggy hair is the aftermath of that beautiful sunset, midnight black. And his skin is so soft, it's like a hundred sky bisons fur all mixed together into one human. He's beautiful. I have the urge to just give him a kiss on those soft succulent lips." I explain to Katara, we're on my bed just chatting, she's trying to comfort me and I just explain everything. She has this look on her face.
"Yea your head over heels for that boy. And I'm not gonna lie, I think he feels the same about you also." She reply's back to my rant. "Really?" I say excited.
"Really, have you seen the shades of red he turns when you give him the slightest bit of touch?" She responds.
I let out a lovey sigh and fantasize as 'tara leaves my room.
THE NEXT DAY @SCHOOL
Me and the gaang are just talking at lunch, except for Zuko. He's looking at me, I look back at him and make eye contact with him, and he looks away and turns red, I see what 'tara was on about,
"Katara would you like to come over to my house after school?" Aang asks katara. "Sure aang, I'd love to" Katara responds back. "Oogies!" Me and Toph say in Unison, and we both laugh. "Well Zuko since I don't have anyone to keep company with, do you want to come over to mine also?" I turn to Zuko and ask. He nods and I smile. "Yea, and I'm just fine over here." Toph says sarcastically and everyone laughs. I hope I can reveal how I feel about Zuko to him this afternoon. Or too soon? "Anyway, everyone knows that I am turning 18 next monday, AKA, January 22nd! So mark your calendars!" I say, filling in the silence. "Oh I forgot about your birthday!" Katara says. "I'm your brother! and you forgot your own brothers birthday, I'm ashamed." I say sarcastically.
SOKKA AND KATARAS HOUSE, AFTER SCHOOL
ZUKOS POV
"I know you haven't really seen my house like not covered with soft drinks everywhere and not having people dancing everywhere, but here it is!" Sokka says leading me inside. "It's nice" I say. "Here, let's go to my room." He grabs my wrist and leads me upstairs to his room which is large and mostly blue with one large navy blue wall with all kinds of posters. he has decorations, and a blue and white boomerang with a significant dent sits on a wall. He has photographs of him and the gaang, and his closet is similar also. His bed has white sheets with about 5 pillows and that flying lemur plush I had got him for Christmas. In front of his bed is a console with a large TV. Next to his bed is a little library area with a hanging chair with a blue checkered pillow in the middle and a carpet. He leads me on the bed and turns on the TV. "Pick a movie, I'll get some snacks!" He throws me the remote and quickly leaves the room. I pick up the remote and navigate it and press a random movie. A few minutes pass and he comes up and back onto the bed and has a snack platter in his hands. I observe it a bit and pick up a few pieces of candy.
2 MOVIES LATER, 8:32 PM
SOKKAS POV
Zuko has been here for about 3 hours or so, and I won't lie I like his company. And him too, and that's what I'm focusing on right now. Even though I've only known him for like 2 months I already know how special he is to me. Wait a minute! I like Suki, right? Wait, no I don't..! i DONT like Suki, Right? Right. so here i am. Next to Zuko watching our 3rd movie, we're practically hugging each other right now. I think he's alseep. I've never confessed to somebody before, so I'm just gonna... say it.
"I love you Zuko" I utter, my head in his hair that smells like a japanese cherry tree. I don't know if he's awake or not.
"I love you so much, I want to be yours." I says and bury my head onto his hair more. "Remember, you promised me never to leave me. So don't." I finally say.
I turn off the TV and stay in this position. I fall asleep.
ZUKOS POV
I don't know what just happened. I was going to doze off in sokkas arms, until he said something. Something I've been fantasizing of him saying for a long time. But I think he was just.. I don't know. I don't think he was serious, probably
not. Why would he want to be with me? I'm a loner who's not even halfway to his level. With a hideous scar that's my entire identity. I hope he meant what he said though. I'll confront him when we wake up tomorrow.
THE NEXT DAY 8:34
"Mmm.." I mutter out as the bright sun flashes my face through Sokkas rather large window. I'm still in his arms, feeling warm and safe, which I think I say each time I'm in his arms. I cant.. help it. "Sokka" I say, barely above a whisper, trying t.to get out of his grasp to get up. He tenses up and lifts his head out of my hair and sits up. "Oh man.. Did we sleep like that? My bad." Sokka apologizes but it's fine. "If you'd like I can drop you off, or you could stay here." Sokka insists. "I think I'll stay here." I reply and look into those beautiful eyes. "Great, I'll go ask someone to make us breakfast" He says and gets up. He has people to serve him? A few seconds later he returns to the room and gets back onto the bed. "If you'd like you can change into some of my clothes." He offers, and he blushes a little. I find it cute. I accept the offer and I find a black shirt, some baggy jeans, and a hoodie. I enter his bathroom which ahs marble counters and tile floors and walls. He has 2 large sinks with a cup with a toothbrush in it. He has a few skin products, i recongnize some from that one shopping trip we had a few days ago or so. I quickly change and his clothes are a bit too baggy for me, but i don't mind the least bit and i leave the bathroom. I find him on the bed on his phone texting and he looks up. "You look great" He says and smiles. "You can put your clothes in the laundry room, I can wash them for you if you'd like". "Okay." I respond and try to find my way to the laundry room. I go to the room across from Sokkas and find another room that's the same layout as Sokkas but just a lighter blue and a lot more stuff. I think this is Kataras, anyway i quickly close the door and find a woman and ask her where the laundry room is. She insists on taking the clothes off my hands and so I just let her. I make my way back to Sokka, who's in his room with a fully changed outfit. He's just finishing putting his shirt on.
"Whilst we wait for breakfast what should we do?" Sokka asks me and turns his head slightly.
"Um.. Not sure." I respond truthfully. "Y'know, I don't have your number yet. I need to add you to the gaang groupchat. and It'd be nice to just have your number." He brings the subject up. He hands me his phone and urges me to give him my number. And so I do.
"Neither do I have a picture of you! What do I put as your contact pfp?" He says. He then jumps onto me trying to take a picture of me. I'm giggling and blushing.
"Sokka!" I yell out whilst laughing.
"That's a nice picture, your all happy! Unlike your usual self." Sokka then imitates me, being skimpy and unhappy which makes me laugh even more. He laughs with me.
"And for your contact name, I think we should name you..." He thinks for a moment.
"Ziki." He smiles. I smile back. "I guess it's an inside joke huh?" He laughs whilst he puts some socks on. I remember that first day where I was so cold to him. I would have never expected to be in his room laughing with him.
"Let's go see if breakfast is ready yet." He leads me on downstairs and we see a fresh stack of pancakes on the table which smells awesome. We both sit down, get out share, and strike up a conversation.
"Since there's no school today, we should go out! Get some snacks, go to a park. Y'know?" Sokka suggests and I agree.
I put my shoes on and we head inside his car after eating. After about 7 minutes of driving we find ourselves outside a little shop.
"I don't know what this shop is.. but it looks promising!" Sokka exclaims. I like that he's so brave and ready to try new things. We enter the shop and find out it's a anime and video game shop. I find a few of my favorite characters from shows I adore, and quickly observe them. Sokka sees me and just stands there. He grabs a comic book but I grab 2 figurines.
"Nice!" He says briefly and we head over to checkout. He pays and we head back to the car.
"What's your favorite song?" He asks me out of the blue.
"Uh.. probably Forever-Single Version" I respond, i didnt know what to pick since I have such a large range of music tastes. Suddenly he puts it on and I can't help but rock my head from side to side slightly.
"I know this!" Sokka crys out and begins to sing along. He's a bad singer but that's beside the point. I sing along also and for a moment, we both face each other and get really close, our foreheads touching. It all goes so quick I don't realize how close we are, yet we're just singing along. After the song ends, on cue we pull up to this small building, and sokka grabs my wrist and drags me inside.
It looks like a little photo booth, where you can take photos, make phone cases, and custom keychains. It's awesome. We go into the photobooths and take a few silly photos. I try to keep a serious face but Sokka helps me loosen up. After we go to the phone case section and make our own custom matching phone cases. It's similar to the matching shirts he got us for christmas. It says the same thing: "Fireguys Waterguy" and "Waterguys Fireguy".

After that little moment between us we grab lunch at a fast food resturaunt. And then we go to a park that looks absolutely majestic. Fairy lights and vines are sprinkled around the place. There are 3 benches and Sokka takes me to one that's right infront of a pond that's a bright cyan that looks magical.
"Where'd you find a place like this?" I ask Sokka jokingly and he chuckles. "Dunno!" He answers genuinely. We both sit down and share this moment together, and I couldn't ask for more. The sun sets beautifully on the reflection of the pond.
"Zuko." Sokka says aruptly. He's looking down at the pond still but he's smiling. I turn my head to him and he continues.
"We've only known eachother for not even 2 months and look at how close we are." I smile. "I cant imagine my life without you now." He continues. "Zuko." He stands up. I stand up with him, he grabs both of my hands. I don't know what's going on. "Sokka?" I mutter.
"I love you Zuko." He says and for a second it's silent. The wind pushing the water in the pond is the only sound heard.
"I love you." He says again, I have no idea what to say. But before I can, he hushes me with the most passionate kiss. I love it so much. He looks at me for a second, and it's my turn to hush him and I get on the tip of my toes and close in the space between us with another kiss. I pull away.
"I love you too Sokka" I say back and we both sit down. I rest my head on his shoulder.
After a few moments of silence, Sokka says: "Does this make us...together, now?"
"I guess it does, if you're okay with that." I answer.
"I am okay with that." Sokka reply's and we just stay in this position. The only thing illuminating us is the moon.
