"We're almost there."
Mhok whispered to Day, who was slowly becoming drowsy due to the journey.
"That's good," Day scooted closer to Mhok, "I want to rest."
Mhok clasped Day's hand in his, "Just hold out for a little longer. Hm?"
Day nodded, smiling a little.
"Hazel will be alright, right?" He asked, after some time.
"Don't worry," Mhok assured, "He'll be fine. Derek has taken care of him before, and he'll do it even better now."
That made Day relax.
A few more minutes into the journey, Mhok felt a weight on his shoulder, causing him to stiffen.
Day was resting his head on his shoulder. Mhok was so ecstatic that he could've jumped out of the taxi just out of sheer happiness, but he didn't, thanks to his conscience.
He then noticed that their fingers were still intertwined, causing him to grin even wider. He had never experienced so much joy before. Day really had changed his life for the better.
Lifting up their hands, he placed a soft kiss on Day's hand.
He stayed like that, cherishing the moment for as long as he could before the car came to a halt.
"Day," He gently tapped Day, "Wake up. We've reached."
Day woke up with a slight groan, and Mhok couldn't stop that amused chuckle that escaped his lips.
"So, this has to be your house," Mhok said as the car drove away, "From the photo in your gallery, I'm sure that this is your house."
Day laughed, "You make it sound like I'm some lost boy who found his house."
"I'm a little enthusiastic and nervous," Mhok glanced at his boyfriend, "Don't mind me."
Clutching Mhok's hand, Day began walking while Mhok marveled at the mansion. It was not only huge but also beautiful.
"You don't have to be nervous," Day said, "You know that I've already informed them about us."
Mhok knew that. He had done that, too. Before visiting each other's houses, they had to make sure that their parents knew about their relationship.
Mhok's parents were fine since they already knew that their son swung both ways, and surprisingly, Day's parents were even more excited because their son had a lover finally. They had also liked Mhok from the beginning, so everything went well. Yet, none of these calmed Mhok's racing heart.
"Gosh," Day laughed, "Calm down, will you? I can feel the nerves radiating off you."
Mhok chuckled, "Alright, but can you blame me? I have to impress my boyfriend's parents."
Day shook his head, "You've impressed the boyfriend so nothing else matters."
Mhok found himself blushing at his heart-fluttering words, "Okay then."
They rang the bell, and within a minute, a woman opened the door, wearing a cheerful smile, "You guys are finally here!"
Day's smile widened when he recognized the voice, "Mom!"
Mhok released Day's hand so that he could hug his mother. Noticing the gesture, Day stepped forward with open arms. Day's mother hugged him without wasting another moment.
Day's eyes teared up. He had missed his family more than he realized. Soon enough, Day's father also joined their emotional reunion.
All this while, Mhok stood there, glancing affectionately at the beautiful scene in front of him. Day's happiness was the source of his happiness as well.
