Escaping death

As I turned to see why everyone stopped a big figure the size of the hallway having to hunch down to not hit the ceiling was staring me down. "That's! That's...... THAT'S THE MONSTER!!!!!!" Marcus yelled falling down screaming. It wore a cloak and seemed to be breathing heavily. I saw what looked to be a face but not human, something much more terrifying. "RUN!!!!" Yumi yelled taking off. Everyone followed except for me. I couldn't decide if it was fear that paralyzed me or if my curiosity to see under the cloak was keeping my legs from moving. "SATOU WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING RUN!!!!!" Yumi yelled. I kept looking not moving an inch. The beast did the same just looking through his cloak at me. I wasn't sure if it just wanted to play a game of chicken or if it was just waiting for a good strike. It finally got closer but not moving its legs just hunching down until I was face to face with it. I never moved or even closed my eyes I just stood there looking. Even face to face I couldn't see in his cloak. The beast exhaled his breath burning my skin as it touched me. It smelled like a rotting body that has been in a dumpster filled with shit. It then moved back to its original spot and began to turn around and leave. The rest who seemed as if their hearts had stopped exhaled greatly. As the beast began to walk away I turned and did the same. "Oh thank god I thought you were dead for sure" Markus said. "Yeah you have a death wish or something" Hana said. I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around again looking at the beast. "Hey what are you doing Satou?" The pres. asked. "Sorry but.....I can't help it" I said. "DON'T YOU DARE SATOU!" Yumi yelled "YOU'LL DIE FOR SURE!". I already took off running right at the beast. As I ran up to it it turned it's head slightly. I grabbed onto his cloak and ripped it right off. Under the cloak was not human like figure but a beast with a lions tail, a ravens head and long talons for it's right hand and it's left hand was human like but had a blade extending from its arm. As I ripped it off he let out a shriek that filled the entire school grounds. It made everyone's ears bleed and all the windows break. As I realized what I had done the beast had already turned and was swinging at me with his talon like claws. "Ha so this is how it ends.....".

The beast swung and Satou was sent flying right through a few wall before landing in a random room. "SATOU!!!!!!!!" I yelled. I tried to run to him but everyone held me back. "Yumi wait!" Hana yelled holding me back as I struggled. The beast then looked at everyone and turned around once again walking and disappearing into the dark hallway. They all stood in shock for a few moments before I broke free and rushed to Satou. Nearby in the same room a boy watched from the darkness. "Satou!" I said running at him. There was blood covering his whole body along with rubble from the walls. "Satou..... No.....this wasn't how you were suppose to die!" "NO! NO! NO!" I yelled throwing a fit slamming the ground. "I'm sorry...." I cried through his tears "forgive me....". "Yumi don't blame yourself this was not your fault" the pres. said going to touch me. I slapped her hand away furious "NO YOU DON'T UNDER ALL THESE I-!!!!!" I was silenced when a loud screeched was heard from the court yard. Everyone rushed to the window except for me. My face grew pale as I felt my heart rate increase. "This game......is over......"
