KJ has an hard time accepting the fact that someone actually loves her the way Pico does. With her previous relationships, it took an toll on her mentally, especially from how toxic the guys she would date would be. Her most hardest break up came from an guy who would constantly fight with her only to break up with her and emotionally manipulate her back.
As she sings about this relationship in one of her weeks "LOVE" revolving around her hesitant of figuring what is love and what is not. Ofc Pico being the supportive boyfriend he is, the two had an hard time falling in love at first but now he's willing to remind her constantly and make it known that he's better than those "assholes"
