The days have changed and
you're still not here
It's finally settling in now
that you're gone forever
And all that was flesh and life,
your sparkling smile
Is nothing but dust and grey ashes
lost to a happier time
And somehow your absence has
sparked in me a desperation
To turn towards the heavens and
demand God for reparations
To scream out why, why, why
repeat it's just not fair
In pathetic deep water grief
that I simply cannot bear
