After that whole incident the trio went straight to wade's house to regroup and talk. Casey kept thinking back to this knuckles character. She didn't know how but she felt this odd attraction to- what was he again? Oh yeah an equindna. When she meet Sonic, he would swoon her with one-liners.
(He still does from time to time)
But she never thought twice about it, now this red, buff, maned-up-voiced of an alien comes out of nowhere she's weak in the mind? Not to mention he looked like a great fighter....
"Casey...earth to Casey!!!"
Sonic waved her hand in her face, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Oh, ummm...yeah, I'm here. Sup wade?"
Wade Wipple was her only other friend. She would go bowling with him from time to time.
"Where are we?"
Tails asked,looking around Wade's garage.
"Welcome to the wade cave, which is something I hope to one day say to a woman. A woman who is not my mom."
Casey gave him a look.
"So I don't count?"
"Of course you do...just not really what I-"
Casey started to laugh with a lot of soul.
"Ha!! I'm just messing with you. You'll find someone...hopefully soon-"
Sonic, a bit annoyed, interjected.
"Wade, Casey, focus. We need to find out why Knuckles thinks I'm the key to finding the master emerald."
Casey nodded her head.
"And why did he mention longclaw?"
Casey then shrugged.
"Perhaps he looked into your past,or was a part of it."
Tails agreed.
"There must be an connection."
"Wait a minute, there is!"
Casey looked at Sonic.
"Wait there is?"
"Yeah,look!"
Sonic took out his old world map that longclaw gave him.
"There is a emerald symbol on the map longclaw gave me. I never knew what it before."
Casey took a look at it.
"Hey, that does look like a giant emerald."
Suddenly the map started to glow a light blue.
"Woah!"
Casey jumped back,as tails exclaimed.
"Something's happening!"
Sonic dropped the map.
"Woah,woah,woah,woah!"
Longclaw appeared in a hologram type of form.
"Woah is that...?"
Sonic looked as stuned as Casey did while he took a step forward.
" ...Longclaw?"
"Hello Sonic. If you are watching this then something has happened to me..."
"This is a recording of some sort..."
Casey observed. As the recording went on, Longclaw revealed that earth was the "secret location of the master emerald."
Casey widened her and sparkled her eyes.
"Look at the size of that thing, so shiny!"
Longclaws recording continued.
"The emerald has the power to turn thoughts into reality."
Wade wandered off into silly thought.
"Oooo,like the stay-puff marshmallow man from Ghostbusters."
"I know yummy, right?"
Casey and Wade were being a complete distraction, so tails shushed them both, as Longclaw continued.
"In the wrong hands it could threaten all life in the universe. Protecting the emerald was my sacred duty, and now I must pass that responsibility to you."
Casey looked at Sonic like
'Oh no this poor dude...'
As Sonic concluded that
"This,was his moment."
Longclaw gave the first set of instructions as the rest of them looked on.
"My dear Sonic, you have a heart unlike any Creature I've ever known. I love you so much,goodbye."
And with that the hologram reduced itself to sparkling dust.
"I won't let you down, Longclaw."
Casey hugged Somic as she said with forced emotion.
"That was sweet...and tripy..."
Wade still not paying much attention to anything, turned to tails.
"So was that...your dad?"
"What?"
Casey and tails said together
"So,no...?"
"Wade, did that look like his dad to you?"
And,
( I don't know if you noticed)
but Casey was this close👌🏾to bopping wade upside his head.
