Shubman's heart sank as he saw Maithili's tear-streaked face on the video call. "Hey, what happened? Why are you crying?" he asked softly, his voice filled with concern.
Maithili sniffled, trying to compose herself as she spoke. "I... I was bullied at college," she admitted, her voice shaky with emotion. "They... they called me names and... and pushed me around."
Shubman's expression darkened with anger at the thought of someone hurting Maithili. "Who did this to you?" he asked, his voice tight with fury.
Maithili shook her head, wiping away her tears with the back of her hand. "I don't know their names," she replied, her voice trembling. "They were just... a group of guys."
