she pulls up to her new house to see the previous homeowner waiting with the key in his hands, she parks her car in the driveway, hops out of the car, and walks up to the homeowner

"Welcome to your new home, here's the key!"

He blurted quickly as he placed the key in her hands and shook it vigorously, she smiled nervously at him as she tried to pull her hand away

"Thanks?"

She replied blankly and managed to pull her hand back causing her to stumble back slightly, there was awkward silence between the two as they both stared at each other...few minutes later as cleared her throat and bowed slightly

"Thank you again"

"No problem, would you like any help moving in your stuff?"

Weird, why would he ask her that, she immediately shakes her head and chuckles awkwardly

"Ha hah...no no I don't need any help."

She said softly and rubbed the back of her neck, his smile faded before coming back as he nodded his head in understanding, he placed his hands in his pockets and began walking to his car

"If you say so..."

"Wait don't you want to know if I have any questions"

"Nope, be safe, you got this."

"What...what does that mean?!"

She called out as she clenched the keys in her hand, He didn't respond, he got in his car and backed out of the driveway, waving to her as she drove off down the street.
She watches as the car drives away causing her to sigh in defeat and frown, she turns around and stares at the house...she put the key on the lock and turns the knob, the house looked...pretty nice everything was neat and well-cleaned.

"This is...nice I guess, better than the rest"

She rolled her eyes as she looked deeper into the house, she walked down a hallway and noticed an old brown door, she brushed it off and continued looking through the house, A few minutes passed she walked out of the house and walked toward her car, why would she need to be safe in her own home, is it the neighborhood...who knows, she began to bring her belonging into the house, some heavy, some light. A few hours pass she gets the last box in the house, the sunsetting  she places the box down on the wooden floor, takes a deep breath, she slumps down leaning back on the box's

"It's going to be a long week.."

A few hours passed she rested her mattress down on the living room floor and got her toothbrush and toothpaste, she walked into the bathroom, brushed her teeth, and washed her face as she looked at herself in the mirrors and noticed something staring at her, her eyes widen and she drops her toothbrush into the sink, immediately turns around to see...nothing...huh? She quickly finished brushing her teeth, groaning, and rubbed her face, thinking, was she seeing things? She had changed into her pajamas and walked back into the living room. She sat down on her mattress and sighed

"It's just a start, it's just a start..."

She repeated before tucking herself into bed and staring up at the ceiling her eyes began to feel heavy, and she slowly drifted to sleep.
