The castle corridors twisted like a labyrinth, and Hailey's desperation fueled her steps. She had to find Draco, warn him about Harry's suspicions. Terrified for him, she searched every nook and cranny, her heart racing.

But Draco remained elusive, as if the castle itself conspired against her. Why now, when everything hung in the balance? Hailey's emotions churned—a tempest of rage at Harry, pity for Daisy, and above all, fear for Draco.

Breathless, she sank against the cold stone walls. Panic clawed at her chest. Was it a panic attack or mere exhaustion from running? She couldn't tell. Last time, Draco had been there to find her. Now, she was alone in an unfamiliar corridor, lost in the castle's shadows.

Fear tightened its grip. Hailey pushed herself up, determined to keep searching. But then she heard footsteps—soft, insistent. Someone followed her. Panic surged, and she quickened her pace, wand drawn.

The footsteps echoed, louder now. Hailey glanced back—nothing. Yet the sound persisted. She practically ran, heart pounding, until she collided with a person. Gasping, she raised her wand, ready to defend herself.

"Lumos," she whispered, illuminating the face before her. It was Theo Nott. "What the hell are you doing up here?" Hailey demanded, lowering her wand.

Theo smirked. "This is my place," he said. "I come up here to smoke sometimes."

Hailey caught the scent of cigarettes. "You smoke?" she asked, surprised.

"Yeah," Theo replied. "No one ever comes here. You're the first."

But Theo's smirk faded. Hailey, usually graceful and confident, looked vulnerable. "Are you all right?" he asked.

"I need to find Draco," Hailey panted. "I think he's in trouble."

Theo's eyes narrowed. "in trouble how?"

"Well Potter is suspicious of him... for doing something" Hailey had to be careful with her words. She didn't know what Draco's friends knew about him.

Theo realize what she was trying to say "Potter knows he's a death eater" Theo said plainly.

"You knew Draco is a Death Eater?" Hailey asked, her voice barely audible.

Theo nodded. "Me and Blaise are his best mates. We've known for a long time."

Hailey's frustration simmered. Why hadn't Draco confided in her first? But then it made sense that he told them first. But then Hailey snapped out of her trance, "We have to find him."

Theo took her hand, surprising her. "Trust me?" he asked.

Hailey hesitated. "Honestly, not really. But you're the best I've got."

Theo chuckled. "I probably wouldn't trust me either."

Guided by Theo, Hailey left the corridor, retracing their steps. They checked the Great Hall, the library, but Draco remained elusive.

"Did you check the -
astronomy tower?" they both said simultaneously.

Theo grinned, at Hailey, but she just rolled her eyes. "Yes, I checked there. He wasn't there."

Theo sat down, brow furrowed. Where else could Draco be?

In that tense moment, Hailey and Theo realized they were racing against time. Draco was in real trouble, and they couldn't find him! Was it mere coincidence that he remained elusive when they needed him most? Theo's usual nonchalance had vanished; he looked genuinely concerned.

"I'm stumped," Theo admitted, frustration etching his features. "I really have no idea where this kid is."

"I mean, we can go ask Blaise," Theo suggested, pointing toward the dorms. Hailey's excitement surged. "Okay, let's go," she said, determined.

Theo snuck Hailey into the boys dormitory, and as luck would have it, Pansy Parkinson emerged from the boys' dorm. She shot them a dirty look but continued on her way. "Is she always like that?" Hailey asked.

"Pretty much," Theo replied, leading her to the shared dorm room of Theo, Blaise, and Draco. They practically barged in, and there sat Blaise and Draco, casually chatting. Theo couldn't contain his frustration. "For Merlin's sake, you've been up here this whole time!" he shouted, capturing their attention.

Hailey peeked out from behind Theo. "Draco," she said, her voice filled with urgency. "What are you doing here?" Draco said concerned.

He stood up, and Hailey rushed over, hugging him tightly. Blaise and Theo exchanged knowing glances, grinning. "Me and Theo were looking all over the castle for you!" Hailey exclaimed.

Draco raised an eyebrow. "So now you and Theo are friends?" he teased.

"Don't get all jealous now, Malfoy," Theo quipped, feigning innocence.

Draco turned to Hailey. "What is this all about?" he asked.

Hailey met his eyes. "Considering everyone in this room probably knows by now, Harry Potter knows that you're a Death Eater Draco. He knows!"

Draco cursed under his breath, pacing the room. Blaise leaned in. "Wait, how does Potter know?"

"I have no idea," Hailey confessed. "But he sent some Gryffindor girl to spy on me and Draco."

Theo chimed in. "What are you gonna do, mate?"

Draco sighed. "There's not really a lot I can do," he admitted helplessly. "God, this makes things a lot harder for me. Now I really have to finish fixing that bloody cabinet, and fast."

He abruptly walked out of the room, leaving Hailey torn between worry and determination. She glanced at Blaise and Theo, then followed Draco. "Draco, wait," she called after him.

He stopped and turned to look at her. "Do you want me to come with you?" Hailey asked affectionately.

"No," Draco said, his gaze lingering on her. "It's better you stay behind. I'll probably be able to get that cabinet fixed faster that way. No offense, I love your presence, but damn... you're distracting." he said looking Hailey up and down.

Hailey blushed, but then she felt sorrow watching him leave.
