Hailey knocked on Hannah's bedroom window, hoping she was still home. Hannah emerged, opening the window. "Hailey, what the hell are you doing outside my bedroom window?" Hannah asked, bemused.

Hailey stuck her legs through the window and climbed into the room. "I'm coming to this party with you," Hailey said, determination in her eyes.

Hannah's excitement bubbled over, and she hugged Hailey. "You could've gone through the front door, though."

"Well, I didn't know if you were still home, and if your parents knew you were going to this party," Hailey explained.

"They do," Hannah replied, "but I don't think they really realize what kind of party it is." They both giggled, but Hailey's mind was elsewhere.

"What made you change your mind?" Hannah asked, concern in her eyes.

"Oh nothing special," Hailey replied softly. "I'm just really in need of distraction right now."

"Okay, well, come on," Hannah said, linking arms with her friend. "Let's go!"

As the two girls, stepped out of the car and onto the winding driveway, Hailey's eyes widened in awe. The house loomed before them, a majestic behemoth of a mansion that seemed to stretch on forever. The facade was a masterclass in opulence, with towering spires and gleaming windows that sparkled like diamonds in the fading light of day.

"Wow," Hailey breathed, her voice barely audible over the thrum of excitement that hummed through her veins. "This place is... insane. I think this might be the biggest house, I've ever seen in London!"

Hannah grinned, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Told you, Alex's family is loaded."

As they made their way up the drive, the sound of laughter and music drifted out to meet them, growing louder with each step. Hailey's nerves began to jangle, her mind racing with the implications of what they were about to walk into.

When they reached the entrance, Hannah turned to her, a reassuring smile on her face. "Shall we?"

Hailey took a deep breath, steeling herself for what lay ahead. "We shall," she replied, her voice firm.

As they stepped inside, Hailey's eyes went wide once more. The foyer was a whirlwind of color and sound, with people milling about and the thump of music pulsating through the air. Hannah took her hand, leading her through the crowds with a confident air.

But as they made their way deeper into the house, Hailey's unease grew. Everyone seemed so much older than them, their faces a blur of sophistication and poise. She felt like a kid playing dress-up, her anxiety spiking with each passing moment.

"Hey, Hannah?" she whispered, tugging on her friend's hand. "Why does everyone look way older than us?"

Hannah shot her a reassuring glance. "Doesn't matter, Hailey. Just let loose and have fun, okay?"

Hailey nodded, trying to shake off the feeling of being out of her depth. But as they found Alex and he swept Hannah into a passionate kiss, Hailey's mind began to wander.

She couldn't help but think of Draco, the ache in her chest growing more pronounced with each passing moment. She felt like she was drowning in memories, the pain of his loss threatening to consume her.

Just then, the music changed, and a slow song came on. Alex pulled Hannah into his arms, and they began swaying to the music. Hailey felt a pang of jealousy, her mind flashing back to her own moments with Draco.

"I'm gonna go get a drink," she muttered, extricating herself from the crowd.

Hannah's eyes narrowed in concern. "Everything okay?"
