HUSKS POV
Husk stood behind the bar, wiping down the counters. Although Nifty was the maid, Husk was weirdly protective of his bar. He felt it was his space, his area to take care of. He looked at the clock. 11 PM. Not much had really happened today. After group, he has gone straight to the bar to continue his day drinking and ready to serve. Around 5, he saw Angel Dust leave, with an expression of fear and misery on his face. The same one he has everytime he goes to work. Not that Husk cared, he just happened to notice...yeah that was it. Husk was awoken from his thoughts by the slam of a door. Angel stride through the lobby and over to the bar, limping slightly. He sat himself down at the counter opposite Husk and muttered curses under his breath. This was their usual routine. Angel Dust would sit down at the bar after a long shift, and depending on how tough the shoot was, they could either have a laugh together, making fun of Valentino or anyone who pissed them off that day. Husk might pour him drinks while Angel vented about the tough day. Sometimes they just sat quietly, basking in each others company, drink after drink, in comfortable silence. Husk poured him a fruit cocktail, Angels favourite. It cheered him up sometimes.
Angel looked at the drink in front of him and smiled weakly.
"Ya totally missed me Whiskers!"
Husk rolled his eyes.
"Do you want that drink or not?"
Angel gulped it down. Husk noticed how after every shift he would ask for a drink that was strong in flavour, no matter if it was bitter, sweet or sour. Maybe he just likes the flavours.
"Here. Val had everyone in my mouth today. Just pass me a bottle of something strong."
Husk slid a bottle across the counter.
"Don't go too wild. I don't want to be the one cleaning puke off my floor. And...maybe instead of drinking your problems away...I don't know...you'd want to talk?"
Husk regretted it the minute he said it. Yeah, sure, he cared about Angel. They're friends. Doesn't mean he wants to talk him through his problems. Or help him. Fuck.
He totally did.
