Walk of shame

Pez's POV

"Hey Pez, what happened? You're limping like you just wrestled a kangaroo!" Healy asked me concerned

"Oh, you know, just a little soreness from cricket practice." i replied hastily

" Come on, spill the beans. We know you weren't practicing cricket all night." Sophie said joining the conversation

*blushes* "Okay, okay, fine. Maybe I had a bit of a wild night." I replied shyly

"Wild night? That's an understatement! Did you forget cricket practice and join the Olympics instead?" Healy teased me laughing aloud

*laughs a little* "You guys are terrible! Can't a girl have some fun without getting teased?" I replied

"Of course you can! But next time, maybe ask Smriti to take it easy if you've got cricket practice the next day." Sophie replied making me turn beet root red

"Noted. Lesson learned: no more acrobatics before game day." I replied sarcastically

"But hey, at least you've got a good story to tell now. 'The night I limped into cricket practice...'" Healy continued dreamily

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up, guys. Just wait till it's your turn for the embarrassing stories." I ran from there to save myself from more embarrassment.

Like this the practice session continued with light banters of players. It was really difficult for me to perform with limp and a lot of my teammates were concerned what has happened to me but i just gave excuse of falling down while trying to pick the cereal box that was in top cabinet and thank god they believed it and rest of the day passed slowly.

Smriti's POV

*stares down at her plate, voice void of any emotion * "I still can't believe what Mr Shreenath did. Attacking us in the middle of the night... it's like something out of a nightmare. What if something had happened to Pez." I stated

*placing a hand on Smriti's shoulder* "I'm so sorry you had to go through that, bacha. No one deserves to be treated that way, especially by a family member." Replied cheeks

"It's unimaginable. How could he do something so cruel, especially to his own niece?" Said bhabhi

"I wish I had an answer. He's always been mean and controlling, but I never thought he would come to know about Pez so soon and add her into all this. Now he will see hell for trying to harm what is mine. I cant loose the few ones i have in my family." I replied coldly

"Have you considered what his next move could be? What he did is a serious crime, and he needs to be held accountable the police would not do anything without the evidences and he will again sign up for bail we have to do something ourself you getting my point." Asked Cheeks

*nod her head* "I will... I'm going to make him regret and he will have to face the consequences, of what he did to my parents then when he played dirty by hiring Maria for molesting me and now Pez tomorrow he may try to harm you guys so now enough is enough he will see what i can do. He shall start counting his days." I replied determinate  

"Your safety and well-being should come first,Bacha. Don't let vengeance dictate your actions. We'll support you no matter what you decide but please be careful." Bhabhi said concerned

*tears welling up in her eyes* "Thank you, both of you. I don't know what I would do without your support. You were always there for me in my highs and lows without you i could have not managed to go through everything and my bundle of joy brought light in my life in my darkness filled world."

"We're here for you, Bacha. Always. And we'll do whatever it takes to ensure your safety and justice." Said cheeks

"You're not alone in this. We'll get through it together, as a family." Babhi said

" Okay enough of this serious talks. We have an important news share with you that will lighten up your mood to and let me tell you are the first person to know this." Cheeks replied excitedly and cheekily

"Oh tell me, I'm curious what is it are, you guys expecting? Please tell me it's what i am thinking it is." I asked with curiosity while drinking black coffee

"Ok are you some sort of antarjami mtlb yr hmesha kaise kr leti ho sahi guess" Cheeks whined
(are you fortune teller like how do you guess right every time)

"Wait really wow congratulations cheeks and bhabhs. How far are you along" i asked excitedly
"four months, we also came to know about it in the third month as i didn't got any early symptoms." Replied bhabhi

"Oh my gosh i cant wait for one more god this time let it be mini bhabhi because Vami is exact copy of Cheeks." I prayed loudly earning smack from Cheeks and laughter from bhabhi

"And guys please don't disclose this news to media attention all. We all know what happened when you guys announced about Vami and i think you should be careful about the toxic comments and threats." I said with concern

"Yea we also thought same its better to only reveal to close members and make staff and other staff sign the Non Disclosure Agreement" Cheeks replied ...
