Y/N's POV:

I felt sweat dripping down my back as I waited for nighttime to come back. I managed to convince Dipper that what I had written down was all I was able to translate for now because it was very time-consuming. Dipper and Mabel took me monster hunting for the rest of the day but it had been very hard to focus as my mind was set on an escape plan. I wanted to do this in secret, I didn't want more ears than needed to be there when I got my answers. There's something they all know and aren't telling me. First Mabel with the unicorns, then Dipper with some kind of code, and now even Bill won't tell me! While in the end, we ended up getting chased by this tree-giant. All I could think of was how to sneak out of my window quiet enough for no one to hear me get into the tree next to it and climb down. And eventually, the moment came. It was finally getting dark outside and everyone went to bed.

Slowly I put on my shoes and try to open the window as quietly as possible. It creaked slightly but luckily enough it was soft enough. I slowly lowered myself down the tree and started to make a run for it. I needed to visit two places tonight. The lake, and the mountains. Luckily with a little help from my flashlight, the lake didn't take too long to show up. Now how to catch this creature's attention? Maybe glowsticks? One should be too small right? So what if I- I snap the entire bag of glowsticks, put it in a bag, and throw it into the water with a rope. And I wait. Just... just waiting... Don't know how long it'll take... 5 minutes... 10.... 20... 38... Almost an hour had passed and I had to start to let this chance go. It'd take quite a while to get from this point to the witches' mountain and then be back in time before anyone notices I've been gone. With some luck, I'll get a few hours of sleep. I'll try coming back tomorrow- ah shit I can't! Tomorrow is Friday! Everyone will be staying up till the ungodly hours of the night and I'll be noticed for sure! The day after tomorrow should work though. Everyone will be exhausted from the night before and go to bed earlier so I should have more time! I"ll be back for you giant Island creature! Looking up to my destination it didn't seem that bad to get to. Until you tried to get up. It took me 2 hours to climb up that shitty mountain! I was out of breath, water, and probably sweat by the amounts I just created. I pull the doorbell until I start to question how soft it feels... and warm. I have a hard time not to gag as I see a severed hand acting as a doorbell. I almost throw it out of fear. No, no I have to stay strong and polite! This "palmreader" can help me get more insight into my future! The curtain door opens by hand, and I try hard not to show fear as I walk inside what feels like a trap. I'm however pleasantly surprised by the nice interior.

"Y/N, I've been expecting you." I look at the old lady. How did she know my name? "Come sit down, we both have much time left tonight. I have a hot date for a moonlight walk!" I quickly sit down as I too want to get this over with quickly. Without even asking permission or asking me to give my right hand, she just grabs it and starts staring intensely at it. For minutes she remains quiet. "So- what do you see?" She blinks surprised at me before giving me a goofy grin and looking down again. "Sorry, I was just debating if I should wear my fancy heels or not tonight. Let's see. Yes, yes. Strong heartline, you'll live a long healthy life. Your love line is a strong one too. Hmm, but it looks like you'll come to a crossroads soon. And you'll have to decide the right path. If you don't, well, who knows really? Could go anywhere!"

"Wait wait what? That's it?" The woman throws her hands in the air. "What did you expect? Me to show you what you'll eat for breakfast?" "Can't you tell me more? People keep on referring to me as a feather and I have no idea what it means!" "Little lady, I am not a library. I already gave you a big insight, now get! Go hit the library or something!" A dozen of hands point to the exit and I don't need to be told again. I don't want these little crawlies touching me! Though I do feel like she wasn't going in depth as much as she probably could have, she did give me a big clue indeed. I was going to have to make a choice soon, and that choice could change the world's outcome.

Coming in this time was not as easy as going out. I had to climb up the tree and try not to break any branches or fall. In my excitement to get in my room, I forgot to put down my foot carefully and the floorboard underneath my foot creaked loudly. To try and not get it to its fullest potential, I grab onto the window only for that to make even more noise. Quick! Think on your feet! I throw off my shoes and throw off my clothes into my laundry corner, quickly getting into my pj's as I hear footsteps down the hallway coming closer. Before he can do anything my bag is slightly wet because of the plastic bag with glowsticks, under the table, and myself straight into bed. I lay down just in time with my eyes closed as I heard the door open slightly. A hum, and then the door closes again as the person leaves. I sigh in relief and look at the time. 4 AM, thank god I have a few hours to sleep. I close my eyes, wondering what tonight will bring.
