You met the boys after they saved you from a wendigo, you've hunted with them ever since.
Castiel-
After making a crossroads deal to save your brothers (Sam and Dean) the hellhounds killed you, thankfully after only a month in hell Castiel saved you. He just couldn't handle having his soulmate who in which he hasn't even met yet go through all that pain.
Charlie-

Gabriel-
After a long hunt you wanted to relax with some of your favorite candy, you met Gabriel when you two reached for the same candy at the store.
