{Unexpectedly Expected} [Jane x Jeff]

Chapter 20

I open my eyes to an empty bed, the sleeping mask on the pillow is the only evidence of Jeff. I groan and sit up. I look at the time, nine thirty-four. I sigh and the door opens. Jeff comes in and smiles, Smile following him, "Morning." I smile and take the plate. "Good morning."

  "Do you want to try walking today?"

"Yeah sure," I shrug and begin eating. He nods and turns on the TV. He puts on South Park and laughs at the opening scene. I smile and continue eating.

Once I finish and put it down. Jeff looks at me for a moment before standing and walking in front of me. He holds out his hands for me to take. I grab his hands, swinging my feet over the bed.

I slowly stand and laugh a bit. It hurts less, which is great. Smile sees me standing up and hops over to me, almost knocking me down. "Smile, no!" Jeff says. Smile's ears droop and he sits down. I laugh lightly. "Okay, ready?" I nod and he moves backward for me to move forward. I walk towards him and he smiles. "You got it."

We continue this until I tell him I feel confident enough to try without his help. He leads me a few feet away from the bed and walks to the bed. I get what he's trying to point out and I walk towards him fine. "You feel better?" I stop in front of him and massage my thighs for a moment. "Mhm," I nod. "So do you want to do something tomorrow?"

"Yeah sure," I say and he smiles. "Let's go see everyone." He nods and walks towards the door.

I grab my mask and my phone, putting my mask on, my phone in my pocket, and turn around to him. He smiles lightly and opens the door. Smile hops up and runs out of the room. Jeff shakes his head and laughs. I walk to the door and look out. No one's in the hallway at the moment and I sigh. I step out following the direction Smile went. Jeff shuts the door behind him and walks beside me.

We walk downstairs and I can see people in the living room. Nina, EJ, Clockwork, Zero, and some other guy I haven't met before on the couch. Sally and Ben are also playing video games on the TV.

I look into the dining room, seeing the proxies and Slender at the table. Probably talking about a mission. "Ah, Jeff just the person I needed to see," Slender's voice booms. Everyone who was listening to Slender turned to the stairway seeing Jeff and me at the stairs.

"Jane!" Sally puts down the controller and runs to hug me. "Hi Sally," I laugh as she almost makes us both topple over. "Be careful, I'm still sore." She frowns but nods. Sally slowly leads me over to the couch as Jeff walks to Slender.

Sally forces me to sit between Clockwork and Zero. "Hey, girl," Clockwork says. "Hi," I laugh nervously, haven't seen everyone in almost a week is so different. "Oh, Jane, I don't think you've met him before, Jane, this is Puppeteer." Zero's voice causes me to look at her.

She points to the male beside her. He's got grey skin, kind of like EJ's, and yellow eyes. I wave at him and he waves back, causing me to notice the yellow string-like cords flowing from his fingers. "This was the guy who was supposed to be my date to the party," Zero whispers in my ear and I nod.

A few minutes later, I was watching Ben and Sally play video games until Hoodie and Toby sat beside them, asking to play as well. Ben grabs the extra controls and I can feel a light pressure on the couch moving behind me. I look up to see Jeff leaning on the couch, watching them play. I look back and cross my arms.

I see Masky sit beside Hoodie, yelling at Toby for things he should've done. I laugh as they argue over Mario Kart. I feel my phone buzz in my pocket and pull it out to check it.

Girl, do you still not believe me about him?
