I wish I were a bird
So I could fly away.
I wish I were the moon,
Not suffering through the day.
I wish I could travel
And get lost in time.
I wish I could disappear
And leave my sorrows behind.
But most of all,
I wish I weren't me.
Then I could runaway,
And still know what you can't see.
