The school was in uproar. Quidditch day had finally come and today was Slytherin vs. Ravenclaw. Personally, Astraea wasn't into Quidditch, so she didn't come to the games as it never piqued her interest. Besides the fact that she didn't understand it, she didn't like the loud noises and crowded benches the squeaky wood veneers gave. Not to mention the occasional bumping into one's hand whenever someone would cheer out of excitement, out of proportion.

She passes the hall to see everyone preparing for the match, some Slytherins were painting silver and green on their faces, and some ran down the hall showing off their flag and signs that either say 'Slytherin for the win!' or 'Huzzah Ravenclaw!' and many more related to those phrases.

She was startled by a scream, however laughed when she instantly recognized the voice. There she was, standing below an arc in the halls, Elodie in full house spirit was dressed as a bald eagle and was frantically flapping her wings around like a madman.

Elodie was a phenomenal quidditch player, unfortunately for her, her parents never consented for her to be officially part of the team. That never stopped her from supporting her house with great pride and full spirits despite her parent's disapproval. Besides that, she was determined to join and try out in their seventh year when she came of age and her parents could not say no to her anymore.

Astraea shakes her head and smiles at her friend. Once Elodie made her way towards her, she crossed her hands in astonishment.

"You disgrace me, you know that?" Astraea chuckles. In turn, Elodie did a little shimmy in her costume while doing a ridiculous face, causing Astraea to giggle more.

"Oh, I'm sorry, your highness! I didn't mean to look this slutty and good." Elodie tries to pose in a sexy manner, popping out her bird bum and placing her wing behind her head. Astraea was now struggling to keep her laughter tame. Elodie was the only person who could make her this giddy and carefree.

"Elodie, you're going to make me fall on the floor cackling!" She exclaims, holding her hand to her mouth.

"Good! Your smile looks best on you." Elodie flaps her hands—wings rather around. She then pats her friend's cheek with it making Astraea playfully swat it away. "Are you sure you don't want to go?" Elodie pouts.

"You know how I feel about crowds, Elodie." She shrugs, getting a feather that fell from Elodie's wing from the ground. "And why would I waste my time watching it when I have such a good narrator who will exaggerate and tell me every single detail, including how hot Diggory is later all night?"

Elodie leans back, putting a wing on her chest with a fake shocked expression. "Astraea Hestine! I do not exaggerate! I merely... create suspense for the actual climax!" Elodie says proudly.

"Either way, it's more fun hearing it from you rather than sitting on a bench full of sweaty students who will do nothing but scream in my ear." She laughs which made Elodie huff proudly.

A voice called to Elodie to which both girls turned. Elodie said her goodbyes and promised to tell her all about the game later. Astraea didn't care much about the game, but seeing her friend this happy about it and even more so telling the tales about the 'wicked match' as she would call it, made her the happiest she could feel. Elodie was truly the brightest among stones.

Once she was gone, she turned around and collided with a hard body. She almost fell but the two arms of the body caught her and steadied her just in time—she immediately pulled away.
