I Can't Save Us

Before u continue to read, I want to apologize for the amount of events that I wrote about and never actually added into the story... I've been busy with other things and personal things so my mental health has taken a tow and I just want to end this story as quickly as possible because I already feel like discontinuing it- im so sorry to any of you guys who were looking forward to a huge eventful ending but this is all I could do. maybe I'll rewrite this entire story again LOL. thank you to everyone who read this though :)

Also, im sorry if the ending seems rushed.. if you guys want though, i can make a prequel of Tommy's life and what happened that lead him to become a part-time villain, or I can make a sequel of what happens after all this :) please lmk because I'm out of story ideas and I want to continue writing.

Before Tommy could say another word, Blade walked up to him. "Why should we trust you? Why should we stop this battle just because some random villain told us to?" It would usually hurt Tommy whenever he heard his family saying that he was just another villain, but it didn't matter anymore. It's not like he tried to make their whole 'family dynamic' a huge situation. He just wanted them to know. Nevertheless, he stepped back a little and looked at his older brother. "I just want us all to live. Why? Do you really want all these families to be ruined just because you wanted to capture a few villains? We haven't even done anything destructive in a long time!" Tommy stepped back again. This was just a weird interaction between the two.

Blade sighed and stepped back. "Fine. What do you want us to do then? Leave you alone? Let you roam free while we all suffer?" Tommy struggled to find an answer. What did he really want? He does kind of want everyone to just leave him and his friends alone, but it's not possible. At least not when Crow and Blade are there. Tommy stayed silent until Blade spoke again. "So? What's happening? What do you want us to do?" Tommy sighed. "I just want everyone to calm down for a while and listen to what I have to say. Because no one needs to die like this! I don't want my friends to die, and you don't want any of your friends to die either. I just.. I need to find some sort of loophole. So that both of us can get what we want."

It felt weird that Tommy had this much power. The heroes were listening to him. They weren't just attacking. Was this some sort of trap? After a while of thinking of a new plan to get out of the situation, Tommy looked at the floor and spoke again. "Just follow me. I promise I won't do anything to harm anyone." Tommy couldn't do it. He couldn't think of a plan. He didn't know what to do. He just needed to stall. Tommy walked towards an alley and turned around to look at the Blade. Surprisingly, his friend tagged along. Phantom (a.k.a Siren) had followed the two.

"Listen, I know this entire battle probably doesn't seem that important to you, but we need to find out something to do. If you guys leave us, the heroes will be known as a disgrace. I can't do that to you guys. If me and the villains leave, we'll be known as weak and we'll have a bunch of things to deal with after that. So, please, just help me out. I need to find some way to end the battle without any more people dying. Killing people is kind of against everything I've ever lived for." Blade looked at Tommy for a while and then towards Phantom. "Well? Have you thought of anything?" Tommy thought for a while. Honestly, he didn't know what to do. He didn't even know how the small 'meetup' turned into this stressful situation.

Tommy sighed. "I'll tell my friends to leave and you can try to get some of your friends to leave one mine are gone. After that, I'll battle whoever is left and you guys can just turn me in. I won't try to run and I won't try to win the fight. Let's just get this over with." Both Phantom and Blade looked guilty. Almost shocked. Poginnit was known to be the bravest villain of all time. He was strong, brave, and had a ton of willpower. Sadly, everyone has a weakness. And Poginnit's? His weakness was his friends. They meant everything to him. "Just don't get caught too soon." Phantom said after moments of silence.
