Phenomenon

You are the closest thing to a phenomenon I could ever get to.

You are the embodiment of

Shooting stars,

Meteor showers,

And lunar eclipses

Amalgamated into one.

Everything that you are is the epitome of beauty,

The kind so rare and perfect there is no use

Trying to bring it to life through

Cheap similes or cheesy metaphors

(They'd never do you justice.)

And through it all I'll stand here,

I'll be the one marveling at what you are,

The dumbstruck idiot going,

"God you're so beautiful,"

Over and over under my breath.

Because if you're nature's phenomenon,

I'm just another nobody

Trying to get a little bit of

A breathtaking something

In my life.

(You are that to me.)
