chapter 2: nothing serious

i was unbelievably stressed, my feet dragged me to her place before my mind could even think straight

i knocked on her door

"kai?" alessia said confused, i rushed forward and smashed my lips onto hers, pushing her up against one of the walls while i kicked the door shut with my foot

"we can't kai" she mumbled into my mouth

"stop me then" i whispered back before moving my lips to her neck

i felt her tighten her arms around my shoulders as i found her sweet spot

"please kai" she whispered

"i'll look after you darlin" i said softy as i brought her to her high over and over again during the night

"come on less, i need to clean you up" i said softly as i stood at the end off the bed in some shorts and a sports bra

"no just come here kai" less whinged like a baby

i wrapped my arms around her as she nuzzled her head into my neck, i slowly started to lift her up and walk her to the bathroom

getting out a wet flannel and going over her body, pressing kisses against her body softly

"there done" i said softly looking up at her as she sat on the counter

"don't leave me in the morning kai" she said vulnerable, i shook my head

"i won't, i promise" i said as i pulled her off the counter and back to her bed

she snuggled up against my chest, it felt good, it felt like i was protecting her from the world

i had known this girl for a week max and i had already got this unknown feeling off wanting to protect her

i groaned as i woke up, turning over to kai's side of the bed and patting it, finding nothing but cold bed sheets

i sat up and looked around, her clothes were gone, her phone was gone

she had left me again, for the second time in the space of a week

why did i let myself fall for her after the first time?

why did i let her into my house again?

i hardly even know this girl but all i truly know is she doesn't stick to her word

i decided i needed to speak to someone about it, someone who knew her

leah was my best option

i got ready and headed over to their apartment

begging for kai to be out on a run or something.

i knocked on leahs door, hearing her shout one minute before coming to answer the door

"lessi?" she said confused

"leah, can we talk?" i asked, pleading with my eyes

"of course we can, lessi what's wrong?" leah asked as she opened the door further for me

"she isn't in is she?" i asked as i looked into the living room to find the same jumper kai was wearing last night hung over the sofa

"kai went out on a run a few minutes ago, probably be gone for an hour and a bit knowing her" leah shrugged, offering me a cup of tea while i sat myself down on her island chair

"look i hope me telling you this won't make things awkward between you and i" i said as i looked down at my hands

"your scaring me now alessia, what's happened?" leah said as she sat down on the chair opposite me

"well kai and i sorta you know-" i said struggling to get the words out

"slept together?" leah said finishing the sentence of for me

"more then once" i sighed

"how many times?" leah asked

"twice in just one week of knowing each other" i said bowing my head

"sounds like kai alright" leah sighed as she stood up

"what do you mean?" i asked

"she's known for sleeping around when things in her life get tough, or she gets stressed or anxious, she uses sex as a distraction from her life" leah explained

"then that will explain the fact that when i bumped into her the day after the first time of us sleeping together she said it was to relieve stress" i sighed, upset i was so foolish to fall for her

"i'm sorry lessi, if i could i'd make sure you too stay far away from each, you're far too good for kai lessi, and i can say that as her best friend" leah sighed as she shook her head

"i can't believe i fell for her promise last night, i should have learnt after the first night" i scoffed

"what did she say?" leah asked

"she promised me she wouldn't leave me in the morning, that she'd be there when i woke up. i was vulnerable to her and she just threw straight back in my face" i said

leah and i talked some more before i left, cautious of the fact kai could turn up and time soon

"you fucking idiot!" leah said as i walked into the apartment

"hello to you too" i said as i took of my shoes and placed my keys in the bowl

"you better stay far far away from alessia" leah said, god was she mad, i could practically see the steam coming from her ears

"fine okay" i held my hands up

"why promise her something, why let her be so vulnerable and open with you just for to throw it back in her face, you know how much of a dick that makes you look" leah scoffed

"why the fuck do i care! i'll be gone in a few weeks and won't be back for months! i can't start a relationship with anyone because of my job, no one is prepared to date someone who is basically never there! why the fuck do you think i sleep about leah!" i shouted, losing my shit

"that doesn't fucking mean you can drag alessia into a fake safety blanket where she feels safe enough to be vulnerable around you just for you to fucking destroy that safety blanket and lie straight to her face! you know she turned up her this morning basically in tears because of you!" leah snapped

"well it's her fault for catching feeling for me after sleeping with me only twice isn't it! we've never had a proper conversation apart from that one time we were in the bar, maybe that says something, maybe she only wants a good fuck" i scoffed

leah pushed me up against the wall

"don't ever speak about alessia like that, she deserves so much better then you, how she's fallen for you i don't know!" leah said

"it's okay to admit you like her williamson, she's all yours, i ain't stopping you" i said pushing her off me and making my way up to my room
