Hana's POV 🌷
I was sound asleep when Jin crawled into my bed in my hotel room late last night after finishing up all his work obligations. Vaguely, I remember the warmth of him pressed up against me in the night and the feeling of being safe in his arms. He was out the door early, before I awoke, to go to a group photo session for a magazine. He left a sweet text apologizing and telling me he missed me, but I understand how busy the schedule is while here. Later in the afternoon I receive a text from management asking for a meeting.
Maybe we have a schedule change?
I shrug and quickly finish my morning routine and then head to a conference room the hotel has set aside for us to work out of as needed.
"Thanks for coming; we have some questions we'd like to ask you," one of the managers asks me as he ushers me into the room.
"Of course," I agree, but I'm surprised when I find myself sitting at a conference table across from three managers.
"Is something wrong?" Confusion spins through my mind wondering what is going on. "I've been trying to make sure I do a good job helping manage the water and with translating when needed. Have I been in the way -I was worried I was in the way...."
"Hana, please no, it has nothing to do with your help during the concerts," the manager says, quickly shutting down my chatter.
"We would like to know if you recently asked Jin to make any large financial decisions," he says seriously.
"What..what?" I ask, stunned.
"Either to make a donation or maybe invest in a project perhaps your father or a business associate of his is working on?"
"Excuse me? You...you cannot be serious," I stutter.
"So, what you are saying is you don't think you have had any influence on any of the members' financial decisions recently," the second manager asks in a friendlier tone.
"I'm not trying to be disrespectful here, but I think we all know that I would not need an investment from any of these men. Right? I mean, who are we kidding?" My tone is a bit defensive, but I'm quite confused by what is happening.
"Of course, of course," the first manager says as if thinking this whole conversation seems ridiculous to him, but the third manager's sullen quietness irks me -as if he is silently judging me, except I haven't figured out why. All I know is that I feel like my job may be in danger, which makes me sad because I have been really enjoying my time at BH.
"Would you mind if we brought in a few of the members as we further this discussion," he adds, and I agree, hoping to clear up this situation quickly.
Hobi, Namjoon, and Jin filter into the room, looking solemn as they file into the remaining seats.
"With you being in a personal relationship with Jin we are hoping you can separate yourself from that for the time being," manager one continues, "and perhaps look at this from more of a Human Resources lens."
My eyes dart to Jin and he makes the slightest head nod, as if letting me know it's okay, but my body is tingling with fear.
"Well, let's start with what the three of you did and why you didn't come talk to us beforehand," one of the managers says.
My brain starts to churn, and I wonder what is going on. I've only seen the members be respectful to everyone they encounter!
"To be fair, we don't have to come speak with you first," Namjoon says calmly.
"Yes, but we've asked as a courtesy that if any of you plan to make an unusually large stock sale that you talk to us beforehand because of the implications."
