Hana's POV

"Here you go, Moonbeam," Jin murmurs after he sets a hot cup of tea on a tray table next to the lounge in the conservatory where I am perched. He set me up in here so I could read in the sunlight.

"Jin, you don't have to work so hard. I am just fine with the crutches now, and the doctor said I can go back to work soon." I smile.

This man has not left my side since I was released from the hospital. In fact, he basically moved in and took care of me morning, noon, and night. At first, the nights were long; I'd cry when I woke in the dark as if I was back in that trunk, but then Jin would be there petting through my hair and promising he wouldn't leave me alone.

Instead of hiring a team to look after me, Jin insisted on being here. At first, I was embarrassed having him see me so vulnerable, but he never batted an eye. He held me in the shower and helped me wash my hair. Would sit patiently combing through my knotted hair. He smoothed my wounds with medicine and cheered me on through painful physical therapy appointments.

It's been a journey, to say the least -and there were even fights. When I didn't think I could get through one more appointment with another doctor, therapist, or nurse, Jin spurred me on, and we learned how to work out our differences by listening and talking each other through them.

"I think Jin is just fine helping Hana. You let this boy take good care of you," my father declares as he pats Jin on the back. They nod at each other, and Jin leaves the room to give us some time.

My father insisted that I had the best care team at the hospital and is impressed at the level of care Jin has provided along side the professionals. He couldn't believe the dedication Jin had when I could barely move to delicately place a special salve on each of the scratches on my face to help minimize the damage. Now, it barely looks like my face ever had scratches on it, and the bruises and swelling have almost completely disappeared from my body. Father no longer gives Jin a hard time. In fact, if anything, he seems to respect Jin more than anyone he's ever encountered.

"You're looking better every day," my father says as he sits down next to me.

"Thank you," I smile as I shift my leg to get more comfortable. The movement causes me to wince, but it isn't nearly as bad as it used to when I first came home.

My father frowns, "Oh Hana, I wish I could take back setting you up with that spineless Hye! Jin, never would have let those men take you," he scowls.

"It's okay, Dad, none of this is your fault," I tell him again for the millionth time.

My father has been so angry that he let everyone know in the "Big Six" how Hye offered me up on a silver platter to save himself, and now Hye and his family have been shunned. I think it will be a long time before any of them show themselves in public again.

"I don't think I'll ever accept that," he breathes out as he gently pats my hand.

"Mr. Kim. Hana. The police are here to speak with you," Jin says gently as he leads two policemen into the conservatory.

I watch as their eyes dart around the magnificent room in awe. "Miss, we have new information about your case," one of the policemen states.

"Go on," my father says, and the policeman stiffens from his assertive tone.

"We received an anonymous tip about the license plate of your captor's silver sedan, and with the information you gave us about your abduction, we were finally able to track down the vehicle.

"We found the license plates still in the trunk; they never thought to take them out," the other police officer concludes.

Shaking my head at how inexperienced and clueless the two men seemed, I'm not even surprised by this tidbit of information.
