Warning: Gore, Blood, Violence

She counted three bandits. Two just popping out of the bushes and coming towards her, and the one behind her threatening her with the sword.

The two ugly bandits before her smiled menacingly, showing their rotten teeth.

"We got a nice catch boys." One of them said. "You think she will sell?"

The other scoffed, "Of course idiot! Can't you see the way she is dressed? And what a beauty she is! We should keep her to ourselves!"

NO!

The bandit behind her chuckled. "You know, that is not a bad idea. It'll be payback for biting me. Plus, I like them feisty."

No way will she allow herself to be subject to such fate!

In a moment of having to choose fight or flight, Amelia knows exactly what to choose.

In one swift, decisive motion, she harshly pulled the arm with the sword over her neck and twisted her body sharply to the side, breaking free from the bandit's grip. Her sudden movement caught him off guard, causing the sword to drop. Amelia didn't hesitate when she drove her elbow into his stomach, forcing a pained grunt from his lips.

With a swift kick to his shin, she sent him stumbling backward. She seized the opportunity of quickly grabbing the sword on the ground.

Without hesitance, she did something that the old Amelia Blazewood and anyone else would find absolutely horrifying.

As if coming naturally to her, Amelia swung the sword towards the off-balance bandit's neck.

With lethal force, the blade met little resistance as it sliced clean through, severing his head in one swift motion.  The bandit didn't have time to react when his head was suddenly disconnected from his body. Blood sprayed in an arc, and the headless body crumpled to the ground, the severed head rolling a short distance before coming to a stop.

The other two bandits stood frozen, shock and horror etched across their faces. For a brief, tense moment, the forest was eerily silent, the only sound the soft rustling of leaves in the wind.

"You b*tch!" One of the bandits finally screamed, drawing his own sword and charging at her in blind fury.

Amelia stayed calm as the bandit charges at her, gripping the sword tightly. She sidestepped his reckless lunge, bringing the sword up in a swift, upward arc. The blade caught him under the chin, driving through his jaw and into his skull. His body went limp, collapsing to the forest floor in a lifeless heap.

The last remaining bandit, seeing his companions slaughtered by this dainty looking girl, hesitated. His eyes darted between Amelia and the carnage around her.

"What the f*ck are you?!" He yelled at her fearfully.

Amelia expressionlessly just swiped the sword in the air to get rid of some of the blood covering it.

"Run," she said coldly instead of answering his question, her voice steady and unwavering. "Or you will meet the same fate as your fallen comrades."

The bandit didn't need to be told twice. He turned and fled, crashing through the underbrush in his haste to escape.

Anelia stood alone, the adrenaline still coursing through her veins.

Suddenly, she felt sick. Feeling she is about to throw up, she stumbled a few steps to the side and doubled over. The remains of the last meal she eaten expelled onto the forest floor, her body trembling with the aftershocks of adrenaline and horror. The reality of what she'd done hit her hard; she had just killed people for the first time in both her lives, brutally and efficiently.

"D*mn it!" She cursed. Swearing came naturally along with her fighting. Two actions Amelia Blazewood have never done until now.

The training and instincts of Amelia Reed had taken over, but the emotional aftermath was still something she had to face as Amelia Blazewood.

She is just trying to survive. That is all there is to it.

Wiping her mouth with the back of her hand, she forced herself to stand upright. Her breathing was ragged, but she knew she couldn't afford to stay here any longer. The forest around her was dense, and there could be more danger lurking in the shadows.

With resolve, Amelia left the area after taking any valuables from the dead bandits to trek deeper into the forest, leaving behind the carnage to feed any nearby carnivores.
